I think Floyd is being lazy , he could make 140 but he would have to prepare with more work and discipline and where he sits now he probably thinks f**k that for JMM , he challenged Floyd not the other way around its more about Floyd can pick and chose because his the biggest scalp in boxing he is the one regarded by his peers the trainers and fighters as the P4P best in boxing today , even if you guys dont think so the game does and thats why he calls the shots .
I reckon if Pac beats Hatton then Floyd would sacrifice to get the fight the prestige Floyd would get from beating Pac would sign his career off on a meaning full note , it would legitimize Floyd Mayweather as an ATG , and Floyd knows it

Oscar De La hoya hype Manny as being so great just so he could beat him and make himself look greater. He did the same with Mayweather, but it didn't work out for him.
Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter , but he's doing more than what people thought he was capable of. If Manny beats floyd is a plus for him. If Mayweather beats Manny he still would not prove much, but if Mayweather beats Mosley or Paull Williams only then will he win respect from the fans.Comment

Manny has only had one fight in 135 one at 147 and now one at 140.
Manny made his name of the best P4P fighter before he fought Oscar or Diaz.

It doesn't make you great to beat a boxer smaller than you. Mayweather is 5'8'' and has been at that weight in his last two fights. How tall do you think Manny is? Manny started his career at 107lbs, Floyd at 130lbs.Comment

He didnt become P4P #1 until Floyd retired in 6/2008. He got it by default. He would still be #2 if Mayweather never retired. PAC is 5'6 1/2 and Mayweather is listed at 5'8 so whats the point you are trying to make? And I have stood right next to Floyd and he is not 5'8..Comment

Manny has survived on pure speed. Nobody knows how good can he take a punch in a higher weight class. People are asking too much of Pacman. He's a small dude. If fans know beating Mosley and other bigger fighters would shut critics up thats what they should ask for. Its not like boxing critics are asking anything special. Mayweathers weighs in 147lbs and so does Mayweather. Make that fight and a few others at 147lbs.Comment

Funny I have a friend from the philippines and he said Manny is more like 5'5''.
Anyone saw how slow Marguez looked against Juan Diaz? What weight was that,135. Some fighter just look thick for their weight. Marguez looked heavy at 135lbs Floyd on the other hand was still skinny at 148, 149 when he fought Oscar De La Hoya. If Marquez didn't look good in his fight against J.Diaz why should he look better fighting at a higher weight vs a better fighter than Diaz?Comment
