U dont outbox a boxer just like u dont bull**** a bull****ter. U do what u do best & what valero does best is to try to overwhelm u with POWER, DECEPTIVE SPEED, & OVERWHELMING PRESSURE. Pacquiao started at 106, made his bones in 122,126,130 divisions, yet he overpowers marquez at times.

Valero started at 130/126. Hes now a full blown lightweight who will probably end his career at 140. He's more than a live dog vs JMM.
Arum knows the score so if he is willing to place Valero in against JMM he has made a reasonable analysis of the risk/reward of all possible scenarios. Valero has already lost several years of prime time so he has to step it up now that he can fight in the USA again. He can't afford to take fights against people who have already been sparked because they will do nothing for him. He's basically going all-in vs. JMM and will be prepared for war. If he wins Valero becomes the next future superstar if he happens to lose he'll just go back to the drawing board and refine the rough edges.

On the other hand, if JMM loses now to Valero chances are his career will be pretty much over so I can understand why GBP is not quick to enter him into that match. However, I suspect Arum will try and force that match because it makes the most sense for him strategically and financially.

I, like many others, see that JMM is on the slide despite his recent victories. Juan Diaz, another crude volume puncher with no power was hitting JMM at will and even put him on ***** street once or twice with wide looping telegraphed shots. Imagine if that was Valero landing such titanic shots on JMM.

Im not saying to never fight him...but let the fight build a little. To most people Valero is still a curiosity.
All them fights I wouldn't mind seeing but the top of my list is Valero/Marquez. Because I'm tired of hearing people say "Valero KO's Nobody & doesn't fight Elite guys" & "Who has he fought"? also "There's NO names on his resume" so to supersede all the doubt & hate on Valero let the best test him, then we can really see where he belongs instead of bashing the guy each time he KO's somebody that everyone figured he would KO anyway like people said about "Pituala". Valero has fought 25 nobodies (According to many) & knocked them out, so why not get him in there with the best to see what it do?

Its true...look at his record..its a bunch of nobodies and he struggled against Mosquera.
For Valero fighting (Funeka,Katsidis, Soto, Guzman, J.Diaz, Casa) would be a HUGE step up. If he can beat some of those guys then gladly bring him to JMM.
From a fight fan standpoint JMM/Valero seems premature since most people havent even seen this guy fight outside of pixelated youtube clips. Build up the fight and make it in a year or so.
Even a 36 yr old JMM should make quick work of this guy. If I was JMM right now I'd be insulted that this guy thinks he's done enough to fight me.

Arum is an ass! When Pacquiao was at Jr. Lightweight why wasn'nt he asking for Pac/Marquez or Pac/Guzman to determine #1. Instead he puts him in with a bum like Solis and asks Larios to move up 2 weight classes. Eventually Arum had no choice but to put Pac w/ Marquez but ran from a rematch after a close 2nd fight. Sounds like Arum and Pac want PBF or Valero to handle JMM for them.

JMM has done something Pac never has which is dominate the Lightweight division. JMM didn't move up and fight a cream puff like David Diaz instead he went straight for the cream of the crop!

I'm sure all this doesn't even matter because JMM will fight PBF or Hatton next. I see Hatton beating Pac!

                  Bingo!

The reason for that is because after Guzman beat Pacquiao, Arum would no longer be in charge. When Valero (his product) beats Marquez (GBP), he has nothing to lose. If Valero beats Pac, again, nothing to lose, he owns his next star, Valero, just like he owned Pacquiao.

Arum and Roach do all the ducking for Pacquiao, and his fans never complain!

Valero with his chin hanging out + JMM with his unbelievable punch accuracy and stopping power = JMM KO in 6.
