Top Rank's Bob Arum says the record needs to be set straight in the lightweight division. Last weekend in Austin, Texas, knockout king Edwin Valero (25-0, 25KOs) captured the WBC lightweight title by stopping Antonio Pitalua in two rounds. Valero is for real and I think Marquez needs this fight, I like both guys and is going to be a very great fight. What I like with Valero is that he aint wasting time and wants the best and thats what we also want.Comment

Valero needs to worry about facing an actual live body in the ring before messing with Juan Manuel.
Forget all this "he beat up (insert fighter here) during sparring" **** I keep hearing.

Marquez doesn't need to prove anything, Valero is the one who needs to prove himself to earn the right to fight JMM.
It doesn't make sense the #2 P4P fighting an up and comer who has barely won his first title.
Face it JMM wants Pac and only has a little time, he isn't getting any younger.Comment
