There are other intangibles aside from the name. I'm just saying the damage to his career losing to Guzman or Valero in his prime weight would have been the worst possible thing. Pacquiao has about as much chance of fighting a 160lb Mosley as he does fighting a heavyweight. I know how Roach picks fights, and it simply won't happen. The only reason the fight against Hatton was picked is because he appeared shot against Lazcano. I have a video of Roach admitting "Hatton was not the same after his loss to Floyd Jr., and he appeared washed up in his fight against Lazcano".

what are you trying to say that pac handpicks his opponents. lets get this straight his first fight in the states was against the champ ledwaba and took the fight in two weeks notice. first fight at featherweight was against barrera p4p3. his next was against marquez the most avoided fighter in the sport. know one knew the affect the weight had on delahoya, he fought the best.

i think cotto and mosley might go for it and fight pac at a catchweight, if so then pac would definitely take that fight.

why would cotto and mosley do that? answer: $$$$$$$

no it wont. in the first place PAC beat hall of famers not old timers(39 yr old casa) and young but limited boxers(diaz). your reasoning is a bit lame dont you think?

You want to see soto vs valero?? Why wouldnt guzman be a legit opponent for him then... considering guzman made soto look straight up silly?!?!? Valero wants no part of Guzman because he knows he cant beat him. And a loss to Guzman would ruin all those big paydays he thinks he is in line for. Cant really blame him, cause that thinking is correct.... $$ talks... But for boxing's sake, the best should fight the best.... and like it or not.... that would mean fighting Guzman

Valero is gonna get a boxing lesson when he fights Marquez! He's too smart a fighter and too great a technician for Valero. Those wide punches that Valero throws are gonna get his ass countered and hurt with short power punches by marquez! Marquez by wide decision or Tko! Still have to see though if it will happen...

Kinda defeats the purpose dont ya think. Valero needs resume building fights like casamayor, baby bull, katsidis, or even a fraud like amir khan. Name fights from here on out now for valero. He cant go back to fighting japs & Latin tomato cans.
Your def right about that.... Valero has no buisness messing with 130 pounders now.... although everyone on here keeps mentioning that Valero needs to fight the top lightweights before getting a crack at Marquez.... How could you put in names like Katsidis, Casa, Diaz and Khan, and not mention Guzman. Newsflash guys..... Out of all those names Guzman is the only UNDEFEATED TWO DIVISION CHAMP!! I know he has a lot of haters.... especially after the Mississippi disaster.... but come on guys.... you all know Guzman will make all those guys looks like they are walking in cement! Like it or not.... Valero beating a Guzman would do a lot to establish his credibility.

He has to fight Guzman before he can call himself the best but he doesn't have to fight him right away. He has to fight an elite Lightweight next, any elite Lightweight.

that said its better to lose to floyd, cotto, or mosley. so based on the you're logic pac will probably fight floyd, cotto or mosley.

To make matters worse, both losses would have happened in Pac's prime weight division. That would kill his legacy and marketability, even worse, *******s like yourself wouldn't have a hero anymore.

Pacquiao will never fight Cotto or Mosley, LOL. Weight drain is not in those fighters lifestyle so that kills any chance for a Pac victory.
Ah ok. now I see, Pac haters like you, are really ******. Loses from bigger guys don't matter so he ducked lesser guys like guzman but fought much lesser guys on solis and larios that a win don't matter but a loss be a shame!!!

I really can't understand how Pac-haters get their logic.

To them JMM is great coz he didn't intend to fight Guzman, Soto, and now ducking Valero. And this JMM is great in the eyes of Pac-haters, coz (JMM) after ducking Pac right after their 1st fight, went to Indonesia to fight the lesser Chris John and LOST, BUT it doesn't matter...... hahahaha.....

That's how idiotic and ******ed those Pac-haters and JMM huggers.

I can't believe, their eyes are so blind to think, that JMM is better by surviving and winning almost lost fights THAN PAC who dominated and destroyed opponents bigger than him.

C'mon guys, give JMM and his fans a break. They are sOoooo afraid of Valero, as you can clearly see-- ALL the excuses they are painting. Don't insist on the issue of Valero. Let him duck; as he had done always in the past.

JMM had only two notable wins (Valero has none for they don't want to give him the chance) lately -- with an OLD washed-up lineal champ Casamayor and a GREEN no-puncher JDiaz. Pleae don't spoil their PARTY.
