Hatton Downplays Pacquiao's Win Over De La Hoya

Lets not forget ODLH had an all star team to prepare him for the fight, he was at 147lb for weeks, so to say he was drained is a poor excuse.
The way I envision it, hatton's one dimensional style would have been dominated by ODLH, Hatton lacks the speed and the skills required to give DLH trouble. he would have been caught by DLH's left hooks while walking in (as usual).Comment

ODLH was not weight drained, it was the style of fight pac imposed that made him look that way, pac's defense head movement, speed along with his counter punching took away Delahoya's jab and his left hook ( ODLH's main weapons).

Does anyone listen to Freddie Roach?
They have been like this for weeks too but it doesn't mean they are healthy

So he showed up at 150 by fight-time in his prior fight?
I don't have sympathy for Oscar; that is not the point. The point is knowing what happened so you can learn from it. Freddie learned from other fighters of the past when they made the same crucial mistake.
At Oscar's age, being past his prime, where he must have felt he was at in his career to have to fight Pac, and hadn't fought at 147 for such a long time, that all added up to his destruction.
what im saying is that making 147 was not a big deal for delahoya because in his prior fight he had to make 150. the fact is he messed up his training by making weight far too early which shrunk his stomach, so he was unable to rehydrate properly.
fighting at 147 was possible for delahoya but he messed up his training, why should pacs victory be degraded because of the fault of his opponent?Comment

all this **** about "this fighter was not himself during the fight blah blah, he was not 100% blah blah" if thats your excuse then we should say tszu was not himself in that fight, or corrales was not himself when fmj fought him he was weight drained etc etc. pavlik and margarito were not themselves when they fought and lost? or leonard was not himself when he fought duran or duran was not himself when he fought hearns?. is that the excuse of a great boxer or a fan of the sport? a fighter looses because the other guy is the better man that night, they are professionals and earn a lot more than we do and has hired professionals to look out for their well-being before and during the fight. if they screwed up, dont make excuses people. a lose is a lose, they committed a tactical error and they should pay for it and be man enough to admit defeat.Comment

I think Angelo Dundee and Nacho has answered this issue anyway.
If you think you know better than the trainers? be my guest.
Again i reiterate Hatton is in no position to criticize anyone competing at that division....specially a virtual superfeatherweight who jumped two division with enough balls and confidence to take that risk. If Ricky performs an impressive win against a junior middleweight .....then he can talk.Comment
