I think all AArum is trying to do is to get Cotto signed and by giving him the Pac fight might be the only way to do that.

Yeah, I mean that's the thing. Isn't Cotto walking from Top Rank after this year? Wouldn't Arum want to "cash out" by matching Cotto with Pac while they're both still under his umbrella? Plus, Arum hates Mayweather and Mayweather hates Arum. It's a mutual hate.

All this talk about drawing power, can we please take a look at what's been put on the table so far? We know that it's been reported that Mayweather's team was looking for a match in July on regular HBO. Speculation is that this tune-up fight could be used as leverage for his following fight, which would be PPV. If Mayweather's PPV drawing power is so solid, why not come back directly to PPV? (It could still happen that way I know.)

The hurt business is like the entertainment business in that it's almost always a case of "What have you done lately?" Lately, Floyd has been out of the ring for a minute. I understand that WWE and "Dancing With The Stars" raised his public profile outside of the boxing world tremendously, but we can't assume that he automatically does huge numbers because of those appearances. Not every TV star can be a movie star. The casual fan needs to see Floyd back in the ring to get really excited by him again, IMO. Whatever his drawing power was in the past will be used in negotiations, but really, it's all about what he can draw in 2009 and we still don't know what he can draw now.

Having said all this, I would buy any of the following PPVs: Mayweather vs. JMM, Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, Mayweather vs. Cotto, Mayweather vs. Mosley, Pac vs. Cotto. I mean, how could you miss any of these fights?

i guess u didnt see the first 10 rounds of the mosley cotto fight. Then he wasnt throwing pot shots he was throwing way harder punches than floyd has ever thrown he was boxing mosley and still landed the more effective punches. Second of all idk what you talkin bout mayweather does that in almost all his fights not just one or 2. Manny didnt do that against dlh like mayweather did and he managed to stop him and beat him very very very clearly not by sd like floyd.

Cotto switched it up in the later rounds when Shane was trying to pressure Cotto and STILL out-landed Mosley and snapped his head back with that straight left. The look on Mosley's face was one of discouragement.

And don't be mad at Pac for doing what he set out to do. regardless of what condition Oscar was in, Pac STILL looked fast, hit hard, and moved around the ring very well. Matter of fact weren't you one of the dudes who thought Manny was getting KO'd? LOL
