If Manny Pacquiao defeats Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas, Top Rank's Bob Arum is not exactly running to match him with Floyd Mayweather Jr, who may return to the ring in the next few months. [details]

The only redeeming quality about the Mayweather match is that he knocked out Hatton. If Pacquiao can knock him out sooner, there might be a ground swell of support for the fight.

Imo as big as Cotto is in new york and pr i dont think he carry a ppv fight like Hatton, and Oscar he needs a i star to help. To be honest i dont think a Cotto vs Pac fight would draw in causal fans. arum doesnt want the fight with pacman - mayweather because he knows better than anyone that pacman would probably lose.. that's the biggest fight that can be made.. Arum wants the cotto/pacman matchup because HE BOB ARUM would make the most money from it since he promotes both fighters
