Yeah man, Ray weighed in at a measly 157½ pounds for that fight!

They did. The ref collapsed and had to be replaced, somewhere around round 10, I think?

Now obviously in the minds of any sensible fight fan Robinson did not quit nor was he a coward but it's something to think about.
It's totally understandable as to why he didn't come out and finish the fight. 105 degrees at ringside! Shocking. It'd already gone 13 rounds and Ray didn't come out for the 14th. Damn shame, really, considering he was ahead on the cards and everything.

See again typical sport fan who somehow knows exactly what an athlete is thinking and feeling out on the playing field.

See I'm not some meat head jock who watches boxing to see people get hurt. I watch because to me the sweet science is such a graceful and skillfull art form that I can't help but watch it.

Sure I don't think Oscar was particulerly hurt at the time but if he is eating 50 or 60 powershot a round and not fighting back whats the ***ing point?

Seriously getting hit by Pacman even if they did look like little punches are still a hundred times harder than your average mans punches and you as an average man who has and never will eat a punch from a champion boxer has no point of refrence to determin how hard Oscar was actually getting hit.

How the *** would you know how much damage those punches were doing when you yourself have never gotten hit that hard in your life.

maybe Manny was beating him to the Punch which happened over and over again.

If you fought Manny I bet you wouldn't get off a punch either.

I don't see why a fighter has to risk injury to somehow prove his mascualinity when the sheer fact that he's getting in the ring makes him more of a man than 99% of the Earth's population.

Some of you guys need to realize the boxing isn't and shouldn't be a life a death struggle. It's a ***ing sport and even if every boxing fan in the world fell over and died there would still be people in gym's learning the sweet science out of sheer love for the sport.

              Grow up people.
Robinson was WINNING the fight he quit in..

Chavez and Duran QUIT when they were LOSING.

I read somewhere that Pac dazed him with some of the first meaningful punches he threw in that fight. basically he was hurt from the very first round.

Really? If thats true then Manny must still have major power at 147. To me it looked like Oscar wasn't really hurt until the seventh round came along, and Oscar was being pushed into the corners and brutalized.

Why would you have rocky martinez listed instead of victor ortiz? And do puerto rican box fans like any other boxers other than puerto ricans?
