Roberto Duran's quitting against Ray Leonard was real bad though. His cornerman made up the stomach cramps excuse, saying "if everyone knew the real reason he quit, they'd hate him". He wasn't in good shape and was frustrated and losing. If someone's getting paid $8 million and doesn't train hard and then quits midway through the fight because of frustration, fans have a right to feel cheated and criticize.
But most situations, when a fighter tries hard but just can't do it anymore or has nothing left, I don't have a problem.
