Thanyou. Bernards Prime is purely speculation and really only brought up when trying to bring down Roy's resume. Hopkins was dominant his whole life except for one fight. When he had to meet the man.

I think you can make a reasonable argument about when Hopkins' prime was by simply looking at his fights.

This is the Hopkins that Roy Jones fought:

I agree. Now let's take a look at the Jones who fought Hopkins and the one who fought Hill.

It was a good win for Jones because of what Hopkins went onto become, at the time it was average (since Hopkins wasn't thought to be much), but I think everyone would agree that it was not nearly as great as a win over a prime 1997-2001 Hopkins would've been.
yea? did hopkins loss in his 'non-prime' before, excluding his first fight and roy jones?
i dunno how someone can be so ******, how can you say someone in their 40's is prime is beyond me, you gotta be ******ed
notice he since he hit his 'prime' he lost to 3 of his last 6 fightswhile in his non-prime he was the only man to knockout glen jhonson and the only one to bein even competitive with roy jones, but no, yea your right, he defianently was too green, he got better at 40 and is only gettin better, cant wait till he's 50, he's gonna be unbeatable eh?

McCallum was years past his best and he lost his trilogy with Tarver. The others were good wins, but I don't know if its enough to crack the Top 25 ATGs though.

Toney wanted him to move up and fight on his terms. He already beat Hopkins and was ranked higher then him, so why should he had given Hopkins a 50/50 split. Hopkins at the time was an unknown champion and wanted 50% lol.......................

Or take a look at Roy Jones' next fight after winning a decision over Hopkins:

I never said he was in his prime right now.

Tell me who did Hopkins fight before facing Jones that he could've lost to? Jones was his first step up in class.

LMAO @ Roy Jones showing "no interest in fighting Calzaghe."

Reminds me of the "Roy Jones is scared to fight David Telesco" campaign.

Of course he showed no interest in fighting Joe Calzaghe. Who was clamoring for that? And who was Joe Calzaghe showing interest in fighting?

It's amazing how these people want to pretend Calzaghe was somebody back then. If Roy Jones was going to fight a super middle, it would have been Sven Ottke who was ranked higher than Joe and had fought better opposition.
