  • Where Does Roy Jones Jr Rank Amongst the ATGs?

Just wondering what the opinion was around here regarding Roy Jones Jr's ranking in the Top 50 ATG list. People always say resume is the most important aspect to consider when ranking ATGs, yet Jones' greatest wins are often cited as Toney (badly weight drained) and Hopkins (too inexperienced)??!

Roy will rank as quite possibly the fastest boxer of all time. Roy also had quickness like no other before or since.

He's top 10 all time, all weight classes IMO. Come on - once upon a time there was nobody who could touch him. Who could have beat a prime Roy?

You'll be scratching your head for hours thinking of an answer to that one?

That's why its so hard to place him. His resume is weak when you look at his skills and dominance, so it is far from clear cut. I've got him somewhere between 40-50.

Who did prime Roy beat that warrants a Top 10 place though?
