Hopkins is the best of this generation, beating prime world champions at the age of 44, a true mark of a great fighter is beating guys while past your prime, its what makes Ali's and Robinsons legacy even greater
you cant use potential as a basis for their ranking in the ATG list..one has to look at their achievement on who they actually beat..its like saying grant hill is one of the greats because he was very good but the numbers dont show it...mike tyson had potential but never reached it

Hatton is the best fighter @140

Floyd is the Best fighter @147

          Pac came from Flyweight......

These are the two very best fighter 6 and 7 divisions heavier than where pac won his 1st tiitle.

          TOP 5 Easy

i agree that hes not top 20 n diaz was average, but barrera was p4p the year they fought first time, n barrera, morales, and marquez were ALL the top 3 p4p fighters in the feather/light weight divisions when they fought pacquiao, who would want pacquiao to fight? valero?lol go check the ring magazine site and click on p4p ratings by year, pacquiao fought the best, and david diaz was the only lightweight champ with a belt (wbc) for pac to fight since juan diaz was already fight campbell(had the other 3 belts)
and delahoya was def for the money.
and pacquiao BEAT marquez the 2nd time, it was still a good fight tho, only morales beat pacquiao recently (1st fight)
so yea, get your facts straight cuz people reading your **** like its true, check boxrec . com or ringmagazine, pac fought the best just face it

I find it hard to give credit to Manny for being a lightweight champion. He fought one fight there and beat the worst champion there was. If Manny goes back to lightweight and beats someone good I'll allow the Henry Armstrong comparisons. People are saying if he beats Hatton and Floyd he'll be top 20. I can buy that. If he beat two guys who have one loss between them and one is the former P4P king I would say he's definitely top 50 and most likely higher. Problem is, I don't think a Pacman-Floyd fight will ever come off. If it does I favor Floyd so...

Are you serious? please tell me your not..

                    my top 5 include

SRR:- greatest fighter ever, 150+ wins 100+ KO's, probably most skilled fighter ever to step into the ring.

Ali:- Greatest heavyweight of all time, face of boxing for the last 40 years, skills and speed of a middleweight, power of a heavyweight, winner of probably thr greatest fight of all time.

Archie Moore: P4P biggest hitter of all time, 131 Ko's, 185 wins.

Joe Lewis: 25 consecutive defences of the world heavyweight title in a day when there was only one title and everyone was gunning for it. had KO wins in 18 of those 25 defences.

Marvin Hagler: greatest middleweight of all time, unified middleweight, beating 4 HoF'rs and another top 10 all time, only loss in teh main portion of his career was a controvercial SD to another top 10 all time SRL.

Pac is not even close to this level, not even remotely close.

Out of curiousity, were there any threads like this before DLH?

What has Pac done to warrant all this hype?

Oh yeah, he beat the unbeatable Oscar.
