Floyd won this fight easy. you guys scoring it 115-113 doesn't know boxing too much. May won it easily eight rounds to four. Oscar only won rounds: 2, 4, 6, 12 and you can argue Mayweather won round 12.

I was at the Floyd Oscar fight. The thing that got me was the whole time I got the feeling Oscar at some point was going to just come forward and Bully Floyd. Except for the little flurry to the body on the ropes it never happened. Oscar looked a lot bigger than Floyd live and I got the feeling Floyd was waiting for Oscar to try and put heavy pressure. He either let Floyd off the hook and fought way technical of a fight or Floyd made Oscar respect him by landing something. Either way the hand speed difference was easy to see and I don't see how someone could score the fight for Oscar. He just didn't take the risk needed to beat a fighter like Floyd.Comment

I was actually shocked that a part-time boxer like Oscar who is inactive for the most part was still able to land some clean shots on Mayweather.Comment

before clicking this thread, i wondered which floyd ****rider would be the first to reply and how quickly...lo and behold; flawless...in the 2nd post...patheticComment

#2 Whitaker, Benitez and Pep were better
#3 There have been/are countless boxers with excellent offence. One example of a boxer with better offense would SRL
#4 Arguello was more accurate with power punches and Whitaker more accurate with the jab
#5 Hopkins comes to mind as an arguably smarter fighter
#6 Other fighters have never been knocked down, even when fighter much tougher opposition
#7 Duran/Chavez/McCallum were far better body punchers
#8 Many boxers have had a much better chin. We'll never know how good Floyds was because he avoided most of the dangerous fighters
#9 Floyd is not what you'd call a great inside fighter. Duran/Chavez were.
#10 I would argue Hopkins is the smartest fighter of this generation
Not saying Floyd doesn't have skills, just pointing out that saying the man is the most skilled is ludicrous. As technically gifted as he is, in each of those attributes you listed above, there have been previous boxers who have done them betterComment

So scoring it 7-5 for Floyd means you don't know boxing, but scoring it 8-4 for Floyd is ok...? Hmm...Comment

#1 Leonard, Ali, Camacho, Taylor and Roy Jones are arguably faster No maybe RJJ
#2 Whitaker, Benitez and Pep were better Not Pep not Benitez Whitaker Maybe
#3 There have been/are countless boxers with excellent offence. One example of a boxer with better offense would SRL
#4 Arguello was more accurate with power punches and Whitaker more accurate with the jab Mayweather is accurate with both unlike these two
#5 Hopkins comes to mind as an arguably smarter fighter MAYBE
#6 Other fighters have never been knocked down, even when fighter much tougher opposition
#7 Duran/Chavez/McCallum were far better body punchers They were but both ****** at outside fighting and defense wasn't great
#8 Many boxers have had a much better chin. We'll never know how good Floyds was because he avoided most of the dangerous fighters Castillo Corrales Hatton Judah Oscar??
#9 Floyd is not what you'd call a great inside fighter. Duran/Chavez were. I said very good. Watch Hatton fight carefully
#10 I would argue Hopkins is the smartest fighter of this generation
Not saying Floyd doesn't have skills, just pointing out that saying the man is the most skilled is ludicrous. As technically gifted as he is, in each of those attributes you listed above, there have been previous boxers who have done them better
Mayweather is very good or great in all aspects. You don't get other boxers who have the basics on lock down.Comment

I didn't score the fight but thought it was close.
Still I would have loved to see a rematch. I would have favoured Oscar (that was before he lost to pac.) Oscar is a great thinker and he was obsessed with gaining some sweet revenge. To bad Mayweather chose to retire.Comment

#2 Benitez and Pep were both better defensively than Floyd. Watching Benitez slip punching close up without backing off at all was sweet!
#3 Mayweather doesn't use the jab enough and like I said Arguello/Whitaker were both more accurate with power puches/jabs
#4 McCallum didn't suck at outside fighting at all and the main point was to do with body punching not outside fighting. In which case I'll stick to my original point: Duran/Chavez were far superior to Floyd in this case.
#5 I'm not convinced from the Hatton fight that Mayweather is great on the inside. Fair play, he neutralized Hatton's attack, but he wasn't exactly hurting Hatton with thunderng body shots was he? Which is what Duran/Chavez would do. I also think Benitez was much better in this respect too. I don't think I've ever seen someone look so comfortable pinned against the ropes/corner. He was so difficult to tag, even on the inside, and he could get good body shots off in return.
Just thinking quickly Hagler, Leonard, McCallum and Hopkins are great all round boxers who have great fundamentalsComment

Hopkins Leonard Whitaker could be mention as great as PBF in skill books. But Mayweather is smart as Hopkins better defense and better offense.
Leonard is fast as Floyd. Better offense than Floyd but Mayweather has better defense.. But what separates them is Mayweather is smarter boxerComment
