I had it 115-113, but it was probably the most convincing 115-113 win I've seen.

Floyd should have thrown more. He waited for Oscar to tire and then still took minimal risk easily winning the rounds by clean counter punching. He could have really followed up those combos. Pacquiao showed how to throw combinations and get out of Oscar's range. Sure Oscar's reflexes were better in 2007, but Floyd has better defense then Pacquiao and so his chances of getting caught are less.

Oscar was a good win for him, but he could have done it a lot better.

No idiot unlike you I am a fan of the sport. I watched both Castillo vs Corrales, it would have been 3 if Castillo had made weight, and all three Casamayor vs Corrales fights.

I don't know about Taylor being a higher caliber of fighter than Castillo. We don't really know what would have been of him. We know he beat a helluva fighter in McGirt, and looked in general great before we know what. But he is not very tested.
At the end of the day Castillo has wins over Johnston, Corrales, Casamayor.

Mayweather looked very confused when Oscar kept using his jab. Like I told you yesterday in the Whitaker vs Mayweather thread, Floyd hasn't got a brilliant jab and can be beaten by fighters who have. If Oscar had kept sticking out his jab in the last 4 rounds he could have won the fight.

Btw watch the fight again, a lot of Floyds counters were being caught on Oscars gloves.
confused? how did he look confused? he was smiling at oscar. he looked how he always looked in fights. and he has one of the best jabs i've seen. he just chose not to use it a lot at the higher weights, mainly just 147, but he has a beautiful jab to the body especially. he took the fight easily.

Lol, what could you expect from this ******, he is one of the biggest nuthuggers here. Since his idol retired, he has nothing to do but to bash other fighters he knows nothing about.

I was wondering how you guys scored the fight and what your thoughts were on it. I had it 115-113 to Floyd.

One thing that struck me, seemed to be the lack of a gameplan on Floyd's part. Between rounds you could clearly hear him talking with Roger about how Oscar was going to tire later. It seemed his strategy to win was to wait it out until the later rounds when Oscar would tire. Thoughts?
I had it either 115-113 or 116-112 to Floyd (kind of changes each time I watch it)... I guess you are right in what you are saying by Floyd relying on De La Hoya to get tired late in the fight but I think he managed to counter Oscar and control the fight really well... Oscar didn't do much until the last ten seconds of each round from what I remember and barely any of his punches landed.

I get what you are saying though... maybe if they used a different game plan instead of Oscar tiring then he probably could of won the fight more easily and probably would have put up a better performance, but nonetheless it was a good performance by Floyd and I thought he did plenty to win the fight.

I don't understand how the other judge had it 115-113 to Oscar though to be honest, I thought Oscar only won four of the rounds... five of them at the maximum. That's what I think anyway.
