maybe you could say Roy was better if Roy's competition was anything like Floyd's but it wasn't. His one great win is James Toney

      1. His competiton was better.

      2. Who did Floyd ever beat that was a prime James Toney's level?

well, I'm sorry but I can't see a case being made for any of those guys above Mayweather

Roy's 2nd best win was a green Hopkins who hadn't gotten his fighting style down yet

I'll take Floyd's wins over prime Corrales, prime Castillo 2x, Chavez, Judah, De La Hoya and Hatton over Roy's resume any day of the week. not to mention, Floyd constantly moved up in weight while he did all of this. Roy sat at 175 cherry picking for years

              a) the easily is my problem. I don't disagree with Mayweather being the best of the last 20 years. It is a legit opinion like having Pea or Roy would be.

              b) You will find plenty of ppl here who will tell you that Jones competition was way better than Mayweather's. I think you and them are both wrong, but I find it a silly debate so I won't get into that.

Pernell Whitaker, clearly has the better competition. Pernell Whitaker beat the great Azumah Nelson, who on Floyd Mayweather Jr's resume is even close to someone like that ?

In other words..Floyd doesn't have a win better than James Toney?

I'd explain the rest of their resumes but let's face it, you wouldn't know a Reggie Johnson from a Reggie Jackson.

                  Carry on.

A faded De La Hoya who hadn't had a significant win in six years, of course. Come on, BD.
