I think he will be considered as both a Hall of Famer and an All Time Great in the future... his skills alone put him up there easily, I am unsure on where about he would be in the All Time Greats list... I would have to put some thought into it. Anyway yeah I think he is both an ATG and HOF.

no, we can discuss it all day. the bottom line is Pernell and Roy both have some pretty embarrassing losses on their resumes, regardless of what excuses you want to make. Floyd has only had one close fight his entire career and even that was because he fought one-handed for 11 rounds. so, no, I don't see how any of them have more impressive resumes or better skills than Mayweather

What embarrassing losses does Pernell Whitaker have ? he lost to Felix Trinidad way past his prime and whilst having a drug problem, but he still fought braverly and his loss to Carlos Bojorquez was when he broke his clavicle. And that shouldn't count as a loss.

lol so let's never count a loss when a fighter suffers an injury from now on, seems about right

let's also take away any drug related career problems, so anything bad that happened to Whitaker while on or after drugs counts as a W now

Bottom line is Mayweather last fought at age 30.

Find embarassing losses for Jones or Whitaker in their primes.

                That's what I thought.

To me he's a sure Hall-of-Famer (HOF'er) who falls short of All-Time-Greatness (ATG). That's primarily due to him retiring in his prime when dangerous challengers were looming in the horizon.
He has done enough to go HOF... he is not an ATG..not yet anyway

PBF is HOF on his lightweight campain alone, he's ATG based on Resume, Impact on the sport and skillset.
