    bollocks.

hopkins was 28 yrs. old. at the age of one's physical prime.

hopkins also has had more pro fights than jones had at the time they met.

corrales was a warrior but he was no hopkins.

Ok, Reed just for discussion sake...No hate, just discussion

Why didnt Roy fight the other heavyweights, since he said he was the best in the world.???

Why didnt he fight lewis although he said the fight could happen?

Why didnt he fight the other Heavyweights like Chris Byrd, Corrie Sanders, who all wanted to fight him. before he moved back down???

they call him green, because he didnt have the amateur career that roy did...

my argument... after he lost to roy.... he didnt lose again, for what 12 years? and had 20 MW title defenses... only after roy left the division... just how green was he...?

I put Toney over Coralles, it's RJJ's best win.

great thread horus, and the responses you got were some of dumbest i hav e ever read on here. you're right. i never understood that bull****. boxingsceneforum holds some of the most hypocritical posters in American forum history. floyd won a championship in every weight class he fought at, including 154, yet, he avoids this and yet, as he he never called people out.

roy jones beating ruiz and claiming he'd beat lewis, tyson, and others is no different from what floyd did, yet roy is regarded in a higher light than floyd is, who is constantly criticized even though he accomplished more than roy, and faster, and is still undefeated. i mean, roy made a rap album or two, flaunted his money around, and yet, because he so lovable, and not so arrogant according to you ****heads on here, he wasn't "boring" to watch, all this other bs, he was better than floyd, which is utter bull****. hopkins said it best---floyd mayweather is the best fighter of his era and b-hop's era, so that includes roy jones jr. **** what you people think of floyd's attitude. his skillset speaks for itself. his record speaks for itself. his accomplishments speak for themselves.

It was his first title fight and he wasn't at his best untill his late 30's.

Well Im not Roy, his manager, his trainer, his coach, his promoter, or the network that airs his fights... I didnt look at the contracts, talk to the other fighters, or Roy himself... so its a little hard for me, or anyone else for that matter, to explain to you... exactly why he didnt fight all those guys...

But one can hardly be mad at Roy for coming from 154 lbs, at 5' 11" and NOT fighting Lennox Lewis? I mean, really......?

on the other hand, we have Cotto, practically the same size as Floyd... and wheres Floyd?

I do know, that Roy wanted to make a super fight with either Holyfield or Tyson... two guys that were MORE his size than Lewis... when they didnt happen... he went back down and fought the BEST LHW there was in tarver...

                What did Floyd do?

And until you show me where he states hes the best HW in the world, I dont believe he said it...
