my argument... after he lost to roy.... he didnt lose again, for what 12 years? and had 20 MW title defenses... only after roy left the division... just how green was he...?
Lets agree that both RJJ and B-Hop improved much after

But one can hardly be mad at Roy for coming from 154 lbs, at 5' 11" and NOT fighting Lennox Lewis? I mean, really......?

on the other hand, we have Cotto, practically the same size as Floyd... and wheres Floyd?

I do know, that Roy wanted to make a super fight with either Holyfield or Tyson... two guys that were MORE his size than Lewis... when they didnt happen... he went back down and fought the BEST LHW there was in tarver...

          What did Floyd do?

And until you show me where he states hes the best HW in the world, I dont believe he said it...

I agree, No argument here from me.
But Roy said he would fight him and the fight could happen.
And roy fought at 154 for only 3 years of his 15 year career.
How times in Roy's career did he have to fight bigger fighters...

Listen Roy is top 20 Atg great in my book.

That doesnt change the fact he didnt fight the best heavyweight when he was saying he was the best in the world.

Floyd came back down from 154 and 147 and fought the best 140 pounder what are trying to say?

          and ricky hatton was undefeated.

yeah.... roy came back down from HEAVYWEIGHT to LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT.. and fought the best LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT....

Floyd came from 154, to 147... didnt fight the best 147.. but the best 140lber.. and made him move up, where ricky is horrible...

You dont see a difference here? Not at all?

                really........

Don't think...The version of B-Hop that faced Johnson, Mercado, Antwun would have beaten RJJ in my opinion. So we'll just agree to disagree on that one

I dont think Bernard had the style to beat a prime Roy... Bernard is a great counter puncher... but roy even faster..

he was faster, he hit harder, he was more elusive... i just cant see how bernard would beat a prime roy jones... just cant see it.... but its unprovable so no point in making it a discussion
