  • - - Last I checked it was Field throwing himself out of the ring vs Belfort, the worst boxing performance by a HOFer in history. Wouldn't pass a highway trooper Drunk Driving screening.

What grade U boy in this year?

      • joe luis would either be a cruiser or light heavy or if he "moved up" to heavyweight it would be under PEDs like evan fields did himself. so not really makes sense to compare eras when luis was like 200-205 in the pre PED era.

Maybe it should be 'Imagine how great Joe Louis could have been if he were around today' .

The technical knowledge about how to fight and prepare is much more advanced than it was. It was more about being tough, now skill beats toughness, and speed and movement beats power.

Only a few of the great trainers back then had the kind of boxing know-how that is general knowledge in any gym today.
This comment is dumb what do you mean ruiz and sam can they move way better on their feet and use more angles to punch from and aren't slow joe was all the reverse so no joe couldn't try watching matches idiot

            • Louis couldn't even beat Briedis let alone super heavyweights.

You need to remember that in his time, he probably heard others opinions on what Joe would do to him practically every day. When you work your ass off, but still get popular opinion against you regarding the all time greats, it can make someone a little bitter.

On that note I will say Holyfield would have given any heavyweight in history a real fight. His heart and determination is up there with the best of them.
How is it opinion if its fact on video joe and his whole era were trash compared to 70s-90s look how they moved in Joe's time and before where is the opinion at

Wrong joe wouldnt do good without advancing his skills and movement
