Pacquiao getting knocked out at 16 isn't legit though, he was a kid and was sloppy as all get out. Losing to Morales he was green and only threw one punch. He is clearly in his Prime now. When Mayweather had problems with Castillo he was arguably Prime.
Pac's in his prime now; no question. The point I was trying to make, and hopefully you caught on, was that Pac back then wasn't at his best when he was KTFO.

I wouldn't say he was "green" against Morales. That gets thrown around here to much. He lost. I can't say Morales was in his prime either because I don't think he was. He had gone through some tough fights before that so how much past it, not sure. He at least wasn't at his peak.

Now that I think about it, I wonder if Freddie is thinking about Morales when he thinks about Floyd. Morales, like Floyd, had to start wearing the cushioned gloves for his hands. Morales was past his peak, just like we can argue Floyd is. And, Morales had a real tough time making weight...which is what Freddie wants from Floyd. That's actually the first time I lost mad respect for Freddie: when he wanted/made Morales make weight even though Morales wanted to fight Pac in the next division up so that he could be somewhat healthy.

More than anything, as a fan, I want to see two fighters at their best. If they can't, at least give me two healthy fighters at some degree since past prime fighters are arguably not prime-healthy.

It's also why I can agree with Freddie in having Manny fight a couple of more fights and then gettting out. Get out before your out of your prime. But remember, we have to pay attention to each fight because one fight can take you out of it.

He doesn't jab enough like he used to; now, he uses the straight-right hand like older Roy did. He pot-shots now rather than the combos he used to display. Again; older Roy. Punches in bunches was his forte back then. Again, like young Roy.

Instead of moving around the ring up on his toes, he has gone the Roy route again: stay flat-footed and sit there with pot shots. He is also more inclined to allow himself to go up against the ropes. Not like shot fighters do, because he is far from shot, but just like a lot of older fighters do.

Note: older doesn't mean shot; it just means in your 30's. Younger is 20's and different/better.

Floyd also takes rounds off, either to conserve energy like Hopkins started to do after he hit 36+, or because it's to protect his hands. Either way, this is the Hopkins side to him.

He also doesn't take the same risks, by his own admittance. That's decline mentally, which is part of the heart department.

He is just not active enough, inside the ring as well as active as far as fighting.

            believe it or not

Again, again & again,..we heard this bulls!!! before they said Pacquiao has no chance at all fighting De La Hoya, when he was whipped that good, they got the excuses.
and now, against Mayweather, they're saying again that Pac cant win.

Come on, how many times Pacquiao will prove it to you, guys?
Keep in mind, Floyd Mayweather Jr, hasnt fight for a year as of today. by the time the fight will be schedule, thats 17 mos lay off in the ring and he's rusty for sure.

Pacman will bring the fight until 12 rounds at full throttle to earn a decision.
how's that? would you believe this?

Manny was pretty green when he lost to Morales, he was lunging in and trying to land one big bomb like the Pacman of ye olde. He Improved in the other fights, used both hands..but was still pretty sloppy. Pacquiao has really only started to improve ever since he moved up in weight. I'm also curious how having the fight at 143 is a disadvantage for Mayweather, since they both come in at the same weight now.

Pac has an easier time at making 147 than Floyd does at 143. And both have showed up by fight time at 149.

Pac fought Oscar at 147...Floyd fights at 147. Freddie wants this fight; Floyd hasn't said a word publically. Ball is in Floyd's hands.

                  That's the last of it.

floyd only fought the kinda fight that you describe against bigger opponents (baldomir, delahoya) and a aggressive come forward grappler in hatton

                      Hey Botyok

How many times??? Can't Manny be an underdog? Should everyone assume that he beats everyone including Klitschko? I'm sure it doesnt bother Manny that he's warranted to be an underdog. Delahoya was starched from the weight loss(no excuses) just fact! Do u think Delahoya coming in at mid 150's wouldnt have taken out Manny? Be honest. Either way, Manny won and he deserves all respect. But it gets unreasonable to think he wouldn't be an underdog to a few fighters out there. Including even JMM. Who did rock Manny. Why wouldn't we think Oscar's Left hook wouldn't land at least once and end the fight. Again Manny was and is very respectful of his opponents to bad a fan like you can't be.
