I'm also curious how having the fight at 143 is a disadvantage for Mayweather, since they both come in at the same weight now.

Weight: LOL; I have about 20 pages on a thread about this, but if you didn't hear it, I'll explain quickly.

Both fighters fight at 149 by fight time, agree?

Floyd fights at 147. Manny just fought Oscar at 147 and showed up at 149 by fight time...which should be his weight for his 140 fights.

My problem is this: Why make a fighter dehydrate for a fight when they don't have to?

Both fighters can make the fight at 147 so they can make weight easy. This way, Floyd, who is in his 30's, is inactive, and hadn't had to make weight in 3+years, won't be at a disadvantage. To me, trying to force someone to make weight is the same thing as stealing a victory because you are trying to win on the scales and not in the ring. True, it's all a part of the big game, but they should be above that. Floyd didn't try to steal it from Oscar when he agreed to fight Oscar at 154, which Oscar was healthy as far as weight...so much so that he showed up at 164+ by fight time.

But, Freddie doesn't want this, why? Because he wants to take advantage of Floyd's current state, and use history against him...just like he did Oscar, except of course, Oscar was in a far worse position. Either way, the fair fight is at 147 because both fighters will be healthy as far as weight.

If Freddie can have Manny fight Oscar at 147, he can have Manny fight Floyd at 147.

People should question Freddie on this because I would like to hear his take.

One poster did bring up that he doesn't want to take the chance that Floyd has grown a bit and can be above 149 by fight time, so I said, if they want, they can always suggest putting a "cap" by fight time to make sure the fighters don't go above 149 by fight time.

Either way, if you are really better than the fighter, like Freddie says: Size doesn't matter; talent does.

its funny how all these trainers put out ALL the Flaws that Mayweather has, and how their fighter will exploit/ expose them, but on the night of the fight...it never seems to work..y is that? REAL TALK. Not even trying to be funny.

He could have made it an easier fight with Hatton if he jabbed and threw more combos while moving around; but he didn't, why?

Why did he take off about half the fight?

          Same with Zab?
He knew Zab would eventually break down because he hasn't been the same Mentally, which hurts you physically, since Tszyu. Zab was on a rollcoaster ride after he was knocked out by Tszyu.

He is too cautious now and doesn't take the risks he once did. He admitted this himself. His kids and all that talk.

Some will just point to his physical health with his hands and back.

I'm never sure, but think it could be all of the above.

Paul Williams will own mannys life and Cotto would beat pacs body worse than any fighter has. Both guys are too strong , Floyd doesnt have that much pop at in his punches to KO Pac. Its a strategically smart fight.

I got Pac for the win

i agree about the hatton fight i thought hatton should of been out of there in 5 but as for zab he did throw alot of combinations and zab even though is an under achiever is still a bigger threat than anyone floyd fought before

its gonna be messed up if hatton gets sidelined by mayweather. hes done more to earn his shot against pacquaio so i think its fair to get a crack at hatton. but this is boxing and its a business so i know pac will take the better challenge and more money first. i just hope mayweather stays retired. he did his thing and now its time for someone else to do theirs. its bad that even though he is retired he still overshadows alot of fighters. its gonna be even worse if he comes back.
