    I'll say what I have always said in relation to this topic. If Oscar isn't an ATG there certainly aren't very many all time greats.

          oscar is hard to judge..yes he's fought great fighters but has lost most of those fights...i dont know..he is a hof no doubt..atg???????? its not up to me to judge

            That's what I thought but apparently he won those fights. But when you ask people what is his best victory they go scrambling. Is it old man Chavez? A controversial win over old man Whitaker? No, it's either Vargas or Ike and that ain't ATG material.

            End of story.

              Why is it hard to Judge?? Only thing Floyd has over Oscar is an Undefeated record & a win against him. Oscar has done more than Floyd.

              Other great boxers in the history of boxing lost to great fighters too. Lets not forget 2 of those loses Oscar has, have been debatable.

                      I admit that the one glaring omission from the case for Oscar being an ATG is the lack of a defining "great" win. Having said that he wouldn't be the first ATG lacking this quality. I personally believe that, when examined in total, his accomplishments and resume are strong enough to overcome that omission.
