    yeah it's true.

that's why a lot of good fighters have a lot of losses.

it's weird but that's how the sport is.

it's because people play to their strengths.

you might be a better overall fighter than someone but if he's better than you at one thing that's what he's gonna go for.

makes fights interesting going in though. anything can happen. you can beat up someone for 2 1/2 rounds and if the lucky ****er gets a hold of your ankle or arm , etc. he can win.

You're on boxingscene to talk about BOXING right??? Then lets talk about BOXING and not make threads like this. You're the guilty one buddy.
I'm guilty but this is just a response to a boxing hate thread?

anyway, I don't see how you can watch UFC who's president and fighters have said publicly nothing but hate about boxing and claimed it's dead and that UFC fighters and athletes are better, etc but then turn around and say you love boxing.

      Just don't make sense.

The same could be said about boxing if its boxers took more risks. But I can understand with all these organizations.

There has been quite a few threads lately even inthe MMA forums like sherdog that "ufc is dying" and you think UFC is actually even close to boxing's level? Hahaha..wake up moron boxing is DESTROYING UFC right now
Go on the street and ask someone who is the heavyweight champion of the UFC then ask them who is the heavyweight champion for boxing... your in for a big ****in surprise. In US right now the viewers of UFC are exponentially growing, after the floyd vs. de la hoya fight the buys are falling.

you dumb **** you dont even know anything about buys stop talking like you actually know the numbers. No one on the street will know who the UFC champion is, more people around the world know who Klitschko is than they will EVER know who couture or lesnar are. He has HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of fans in europe/asia whereas Lesnar has maybe 5 million rednecks that watch him. You'r totally ignorant and it's sad that you weren't even aware that your beloved UFC is dying and being anally ****d by boxing.

I took someone else's post to respond to yours. please answer

"So you are saying that someone with an amateur background in boxing can take a hiatus and then come back and have 3 fights wiht a record of 2-1 and beat Mayweather, Cotto or Margarito, Dawson, Klitschko, Calzaghe or any other major champion out there on their fourth try?"

Brock Lesnar is a great athlete with a fantastic amatuer wrestling background at the University of Minnesota.

However, there are far better wrestlers than Lesnar in the world. And Lesnar didnt wrestle for 4-5 years while he was in the WWE.

Lastly, this looks terrible when people try to legitimize the sport of MMA. We all know Lesnar is a great athlete but he had a 2-1 MMA record with 2 of those fights coming in the UFC. The amount of rounds hes fought in MMA excluding the fight with Couture is less than 5 rounds.

AND YET, he gets a title shot and WINS.

How many amatuer boxers can we put against Floyd Mayweather after 3 fights? NONE, and if we did it would ruin their career.

Thats the bottom line, MMA has some great athletes but they rise to the top doesnt compare to that of boxing. And its quite clear you DONT need to be well-rounded to be great in MMA as Lesnar is about as one-dimensional as you can get. In MMA, it really depends on what skillset you have, wrestlers have the most success in MMA not only because of the style breeds success in MMA but because they get great athletes from wrestling as opposed to other disciplines such as Muay Thai and Boxing.
