Brock Lesnar does not take steroids. And to those saying he does, are you drinking his piss to know this as a fact? He trains, and trains and trains, lifting logs and pulling tractor tires behind him. He's just a huge guy... it happens, get over it.

UFC is a valid and respectable sport. I love watching a boxing match more then a UFC fight, however both have their draws and BOTH are exciting to watch. And BOTH have their boring sides. However, Brock being the UFC heavyweight champion isn't that big of a deal. He's a NCAA champion, has brutal strenght and is overall a very good fighter. Obviously he has alot to learn in MMA still, but he made a huge statement last night and still has a lot of fighter to beat to make him a huge thing. Namely, Nog, Mir, possibly Fedor if he even signs with UFC...

Some of you elitists need to get off your high horse. Boxing isn't the only great sport and just because your opionion differs from someone elses doesn't make yours right. I respect all sports for what they are, even MMA, and I don't agree with people from either side bashing each others respective sport when both are fun to watch and offer different skill sets to enjoy.

Randy Couture: a three-time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division-I All-American and a two-time NCAA Division-I runner-up at Oklahoma State University.
Lesnar, was once a great college wrestler, but he hasn't been wrestling or doing any type of fighting after college. And now he's the f**kin' UFC champion, what does that say about the caliber of Pro MMA athletes?

That's like saying Floyd Mayweather was a great amateur fighter, decided to not go into pro boxing and focus on WWE and decides to come back to boxing after fighting four 4 round fights and steps up to DLH and beats him. C'mon, man.

gonna have to disagree. amateur boxing is a joke, amateur wrestling is the real deal. more than likely if youre a stud in amateur wrestling, theres a good chance youre wrestling will help you out ALOT in transitioning to MMA. look at josh koscheck.

It says that the caliber of HW MMA pro athletes are low. Nobody is debating that....boxing has the same problems(not as bad though) as all combat sports at HW tend to lose out on quality athletes to other sports. The lower the weight class the better the fighters....let me put it this way. Nobody is coming into any other weight class with 3 pro fights and taking the belt. Everybody is of equal size and you're not going to see massive advantages like that. This is a case where theres never been a guy that BIG and that FAST...Theres never been a HW in MMA with his size/athleticism...also weight is a bigger factor in MMA than boxing(its called gravity...bigger guy on top of you isn't much fun). Generally the best HWs have all been around 225lb - 240lbs in MMA and how this guy comes around at 270+ whos as fast as just about anyone. Thats a major ****ing problem for any fighter.

MMA in its current state has been around for what? 10 years? You guys are freaking out over nothing. MMA is getting better fighters all the time. You see it with Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre....now Lesnar at HW. No biggie guys....

Yeah people keep bashing NCAA but they can't get through their heads their is no REAL professional wrestling promotions. Lesnar was the best in the country at one point. Its a complete joke to compare amature boxing to that. NCAA is basically the pros.

It would be very hard to win against a title holder let alone a champ, and Lesnar just did that. Btw, did Lesnar compete in World Tournaments and Olympics? So outside of U.S. he hasn't won **** at the world stage in terms of wrestling, then he forgets about it for 8 years. Tries out with the Vikings, fails and in his 3rd fight wins against the champ. I love Brock, but this **** would never happen in a real sport, only in cage fighting.

If amateur boxing is a joke, how do you explain the success of Mayweather, Zaghe, DLH, Roy Jones, Whitaker, Lennox, Wlad, Vitaly, Cotto, etc. ?

MMA a few years ago was watchable. PPl like Bas Rutten back in the day, Fedor, CroCop were/are great fighters with technique. These days i dont know what can make ppl stay awake or pay for sloppy fights like this one
