Barnett's roids directly enabled him to over power everyone just like Matt Hughes that closet Roid freak.
how about when a 170 lb. royce gracie was choking out 250 lb. roiders?

mma requires a lot of technique and skills , fulcrum.

it's just you see their sloppiness and lack of skills when striking. (mma striking is horrid for the most part imo. i watch mma for the grappling and subs)

look at fedor. arguably one of the best p4p fighters in the world. if you see him just take down and pound people you think he's just using brute strength but that's really not true.

he's very skilled in SAMBO. a russian ma based on wrestling and judo. his wrestling skills let him get a guy down and keep him down. his submission skills is what keeps him from getting caught in a submission.

what looks like a guy just pounding from someone on top is actually a highly skilled athlete using a very effective , well rounded fighting system. SAMBO after all was derived from wrestling and judo for the Soviet Army.

HAHA yeah. But Couture actually is a wrestler first and foremost and he had to learn to box throughout his MMA career. And his boxing actually looked good in some fights in particular against tomato can Tim Sylvia whos big, slow and goofy. People looked at that fight and were convinced Couture learned how to box. Hes not a bad boxer but hes certainly not great. However, the biggest obstacle in this fight was not his boxing ability it was the fact that he was dealing with a guy who was most likely outweighing him by 50lbs tonight.

Lesnar is NOT a good striker. In fact I think hes very bad. BUT, he does have power and power in MMA seems to take you very far even if you arent a very technical striker.(ie. Liddell)

Spewing Hate or Spewing some truth??? Ok man, keep thinking its losing viewership, whatever makes you sleep better at night. Of course DLH is going to blow the UFC card away. Who can outsell DLH?? Other than DLH, who else could sell over a million in PPVs in boxing RIGHT NOW?? Please for the love of God, don't mention Hopkins.

Think of it this way in UFC's 3rd or 4th year of actually getting mainstream attention it has already had a fight with over one million pay per views. And it hasnt even had their superstars built up yet.

In 2007, UFC officially took over as the "king of pay-per-view". Of the 15 biggest PPV events of 2007 in North America, UFC had eight, four for boxing and three for World Wrestling Entertainment.

yes royce gracie was choking out complete 1 dimensional bums like Haggar from Final Fight woops I mean Dan Severn and 90% of the time Gracie cheated anyway pulling people's hair, choking them with his Ghi etc etc. Just look at the Kimo fight.

right that's because UFC is ALL PPV that's where it gets all of its revenue whereas boxing as a whole in the world is probably 5% ppv and 95% normal fight cards being held DAILY all over the world. If you put up the total $$$ boxing makes per year compared to UFC it wouldn't even be a comparison. Why do you think Dana the ***** White keeps his figures secret? Cus Boxing puts them to shame that's why. It's sad how PPV is just the 'topping' for boxing and yet boxing still owns most of the highest PPV's, the 3 or 4 highest selling PPVS of all time are still all BOXING. OWNED.

2ndly you're talking about "only in its 4th or 5th year" yet you are ignorant ofthe fact that ur talking about UFC at its peak around 2006 or so, since then it has DROPPED and is losing star power and its PPV's are dropping that's why even sherdog forums has ufc is dying threads

everyone was one dimensional back then , fulcrum. royce gracie is the very definition of ONE-DIMENSIONAL.

still amazing what he did. 220 lb. ken shamrock actually had more mma experience than him. ken was a pancrase champion.

i actually like the old days of one style versus one style. i was a kid and i thought it was cool.
