belfort is not one dimensional. he was a good striker (he ktfo prime wanderlei silva) with good bjj (he was trained by carlson gracie himself). belfort was just not dedicated. he had good skills but lacked dedication and somewhat of a mental midget.

Boxing is hurting itself cause of the promoters don't want to take risks, they don't want to put up money to make the sport grow unless it puts money in their pocket. But anyways, boxers have talked **** to MMA athletes too(ex:Mayweather) so it goes both ways.

yea top boxers have been caught but it's different, steroids aren't as directly beneficial to a boxer as a UFC fighter who relies on brute strength. everyone knows in boxing a skinny guy who never lifts weights like DLH will often destroy the big buff steroided out guys like Mosley, because it's about technique cus boxing is an art not a redneck mud wrestling tourny like UFC. Barnett's roids directly enabled him to over power everyone just like Matt Hughes that closet Roid freak.

Brock Lesnar is a great athlete with a fantastic amatuer wrestling background at the University of Minnesota.

However, there are far better wrestlers than Lesnar in the world. And Lesnar didnt wrestle for 4-5 years while he was in the WWE.

Lastly, this looks terrible when people try to legitimize the sport of MMA. We all know Lesnar is a great athlete but he had a 2-1 MMA record with 2 of those fights coming in the UFC. The amount of rounds hes fought in MMA excluding the fight with Couture is less than 5 rounds.

AND YET, he gets a title shot and WINS.

How many amatuer boxers can we put against Floyd Mayweather after 3 fights? NONE, and if we did it would ruin their career.

Thats the bottom line, MMA has some great athletes but they rise to the top doesnt compare to that of boxing. And its quite clear you DONT need to be well-rounded to be great in MMA as Lesnar is about as one-dimensional as you can get. In MMA, it really depends on what skillset you have, wrestlers have the most success in MMA not only because of the style breeds success in MMA but because they get great athletes from wrestling as opposed to other disciplines such as Muay Thai and Boxing.

very well stated plus tonight's match wwas a giant farce that harkened back to the days of UFC 1 when 180lbs guys would fight 250lbs body builders. Couture was 45 years old and 220lbs and was still dominating the pathetic 300lbs 31 yo lesnar until his old ass got cold ****ed (which is evenmore pathetic considering couture was supposedly a "boxer" and lesnar is a WWF star and he knocked him out standing up lol)

boxers didnt start talking **** bout mma til Dana the ****** White started on his kick.
