The problem with UFC is there still is not any consistency. Not too many in that sport have consistency except maybe that middleweight guy (who was 0-2 as a pro boxer btw)

It is a revolving door sport. It seems like any guy who is fairly well versed has a good shot at reaching the top.

Lesner was a good amateur wrestler, but his success in MMA has been due to his punches. He is basically punching guys out as he is a big guy with some obvious good pop. He actually looks very uncomfortable on the ground and does not seem to know how to finish a guy there. His former amateur wrestling prowess has not even been a factor.

I have to agree that this does expose the UFC quite a bit for what it is. Lesner will get beat in his next fight or two, and then the revolving door will continue.

And why would I go to Sherdog? Ain't **** for me there.. I'm posting this here for the MMA fans that do watch the sport come on here talking **** thinking that because someone got a tattoo and took hella steroids they are better fighters then boxers.

Anyway, the point is.. a WWE fighter with little background in MMA just won the heavyweight title.. UFC is a JOKE.
no i didn't see that thread.

most mma fans like me are also boxing fans hence why would they be at a boxing site? anyone who goes on a boxing forum to talk crap about boxing is just trolling and ain't worth the time.

the point is that wwe fighter has an extensive background in wrestling a martial art......you don't have to be good in ALL martial arts to be effective in mixed martial arts. just be good in one and practice the rest.

I never said a welter could defeat Lesnar did I? You need to learn to read.
I said no WWE fighter could come into our sport in their given weight class and beat the top champions with/ or without an amateur boxing background and 3 professional fights.

I disagree, I think there is some out there that can beat Lesnar at this point but as Lesnar gets more experience, the list gets smaller.

Look I love boxing 10 times more than UFC but that doesn't mean I don't respect its athletes.

of course there is someone out there that can beat Lesnar. I never said otherwise. All I said was that a WW wouldn't be able to do it, he is just to big for a small man like that.
