No. No. You Jones nuthuggers are off in dreamland. Ruiz was the most overrated win in Jones' entire career. THE ONLY win on Jones' resume that causes problems for Calzaghe is young James Toney. That's it, folks. The Hopkins that Calzaghe defeated was better than the Hopkins that Jones defeated. Keep it real.
Says the man who thinks Calzaghe has a better chin than Ruiz.

Says the man that thinks Calzaghe is going to put on 20-30lbs of muscle and fire off 100 punches per round. Or will he remain at 175 for this?

Says the man who is comparing Jeff Lacy - an average super middle - to John Ruiz - an average heavyweight.

      Name Jeff Lacy's biggest win?

I can Name Ruiz's: Evander Holyfield.

Ruiz may be average skilled but he has a lot of very good wins. The type of wins that funny enough litter Joe Calzaghe's entire resume.

LOL @ Hopkins better at 42 than at 29, what are we going to read next?

Calzaghe is so elusive that he gets dropped by senior citizens'. Oh I am sure that cutting up Jones, and hitting Lacey with 1000 punches implies Ruiz would stop fighitng and become why, you need to climb off the tree.

Take Calzaghe's balls out of your mouth.

Just because Ruiz was 200+ does not mean his chin was better.
You just made a clown of yourself.
So a 220lbs fighter has the same chin as a supermiddleweight?

Please, only Golota and Tua put Ruiz on his ass...

Prime Calzaghe would have made mincemeat out of the likes of John Ruiz. An easy all points victory at the very least.
This is horrible. How does it taste? the balls.

?? Who said anything about putting Ruiz on his ass? The simple fact of the matter is that Calzaghe is a bigger guy than Jones. Jones beefed up, naturally or not, and beat Ruiz. There's no reason to think that Calzaghe could not have done it either. Ruiz was not a heavy puncher, he was slow, and he was a technical mediocrity to say the least.

Let's just put it this way. There is no way in hell that Roy could have beaten a top flight heavyweight. He knew it, and he didn't even try. The Ruiz fight was quickly forgotten.

Lets put it this way: Joe went up in weight. How did he look?

Like **** against old ass hopkins.

                  good against a walking corpse.

This clearly indicates he can jump another two weight classes with ease.

Okay, who were the top flight heavyweights at the time other than Lewis?

This should be fun. QUICK RUN TO BOXREC.

                    Idiot.

Just because Ruiz was 200+ does not mean his chin was better.

The simple fact is that Jones packs a lot more power than Calzaghe, and carried 199lbs of muscle in the ring with ease, Calzaghe still has to score a knockdown above 168. If you fight someone wh ohits harder than anyone you have fought (That's Ruiz to Jones and Calzaghe). You need to fight defensively and/or hurt him to keep him honest. Workrate is useless if the other guy keeps throwing and can knock you ouy in any of the 12th rounds, (but then again this is boxing, how'd you know?)

Calzaghe's defense is not Jones's, neither is his power, hence it would be very tough for him to win against any HW, nevermind a good one. That's why the Ruiz fight was not quickly forgotten. Because only a few MW in history could do that.
