Nunn was calling out Jones forever. I remember if im correct he even did it after he beat Scully. Jones didn't want it with Nunn a past his prime Nunn.

No doubt Jones was a great fighter, but theres no doubt in my mind that once he got to 175 after he finished off the known smaller 175 pounders, he got scared to face people his size or people bigger then him but at his weight division. He said it was because of McCallen situation but then how come he's still fighting today?

I'll try and look for that tape of where Collins climbed into the ring and tried to get Jones attention to challenge him face to face as Jones hadn't responded to Collins prevoious challenges.

And there was a lot of back and forth talk about facing Michaliski and in the end Julio Gonzalez goes over seas and beats him in a tough close fight.

In Roys fights some times the commentators don't even hide the fact that Roy is picking on a nobody.

I still say it today, Roys power is what made him.

Ward, Dirrell all look like Roy Jones Jr. used to fight but without the power.

Im surprised people like to talk about the Hopkins v. Jones fight, that fight was ****, that was more of a sparring match then a profisional boxing match.

A lot of the top fighters cherry pick opponents, that's just the way it is.

I stopped reading after the bold....He sure wasnt scared enough to go to the Heavyweight division and fight a MUCH BIGGER MAN than himself!

              Okay, dippy.
Julian Jackson lost the title to McClellan 2 weeks before Jones-Hopkins.
Gerald may have been the lineal Ring champ, because he took the WBC the belt and the distinction. No way to be sure unless we consult Ring themselves.
That wipes Jackson from the picture, leaving Hopkins and Jones as #1 and #2 with McClellan being the Ring champ. is that so hard to see? Really man, this is the last time i try and reason with you. If you do NOT want to read proof from links, there is no convincing you.
