I personally don't think his choice of opponents was what it should be.

wow someone here agrees with me!

roy jones dodged his entire career as is probably the most fake p4p champ in boxing history.

he had two notable fights: toney and hopkins - both 89237452390875423 years ago.

people give him credit for beating john ruiz, but there are lightweights that could beat john ruiz. i bet david diaz would school the **** out of john ruiz, thats how ****ty ruiz is. if he wanted to impress, he would have fought a household heavyweight name, not just a paper champ, which is exactly what ruiz was and always has been everytime he has got a title or a title shot.

jones was fighting fighters people had not heard of at the pinnacle of his career, if thats not dodging, i dont know what is. you dont see pac fighting anyone you havent heard of...

Most of the fights that could have happened but didn't wasn't really his fault, it was just bad timing or negotiations falling apart.

And he deserves respect for moving up and beating Ruiz, I don't rate Ruiz highly but he's a legitimate heavyweight who has beaten decent opposition and gives almost anyone problems to this day.

what really makes me cringe is when people say Jones was a great fighter in a bad era

WTF bad era Benn,Eubank,Collins,Nunn,Darius,Hopkins 2,Calzaghe,Liles there were plenty of challenges out there for Jones but the Jones fans would have you believe they did not want a peice of Roy

btw dont get posting the Brannon interview ive seen it

are we to believe Jones could not find any other credible oponents willing to fight him than Frazier,Hall etc
