I agree. Whilst I often think resumes are over emphasised, and performance under - Mayweather has similar not done enough or fought enough to deserve it. His own choice and fault.

none of those guys cleaned out their fourth weight class, which is a minomer since there will alaways be someone to fight. hence when floyd went to 147 the champ was judah, then baldomir, and floyd beat themm both. defended his wbc title against hatton and defeated one of the best 154 fighters in hoya.

there was no need to legacy wise to continue fighting the cotto's, and margarito's of the world who had not accomplished anything career wise.

Duran and Leonard beat ATGs who were in/close to their primes.

And Floyd didn't clean out 135 or 140 either, so I'm not sure why you're only talking about his failure to clean out 147.

Hopkins cleaned out 160. Calzaghe cleaned out 168. Roy Jones cleaned out 175. Mayweather did not clean out any division as effectively as that before moving up to as new one.

forget the 4th. he didnt even clean out his 2nd or 3rd.
