RING Magazine: "Mayweather Doesn't Crack the Top 25 Greatest Ever"

Looking at that 19-42 range, the upper end just doesn't seem right given the talent pools of the past.
So our final declaration is this: if Mayweather never fights again, he ranks somewhere in the second 25 in boxing history, pound-for-pound, taking into account both his ability and his accomplishment. "Pretty Boy" and his devoted fans may not want be happy to hear it, and the Floyd haters probably won't like it either, but that's where he belongs.

I beg to differ, i think Mayweather easly makes top 10 all time and skill wise he is definitely top 5 in my book with Robbinson, Jones and a few others too close to call.

A fighter retiring in his prime with meaningless oponents(besides a 34 yo DLH who almost beat him) does not deserve an ATG spot. He needs to comeback and accomplish, great things, not great money. But im sure mayweather doesent give one bit of a **** being an all time great.

none of those guys cleaned out their fourth weight class, which is a minomer since there will alaways be someone to fight. hence when floyd went to 147 the champ was judah, then baldomir, and floyd beat themm both. defended his wbc title against hatton and defeated one of the best 154 fighters in hoya.
there was no need to legacy wise to continue fighting the cotto's, and margarito's of the world who had not accomplished anything career wise.
the fact reamins ww is floyd's 4th weight class name one guy in the top 25 that cleaned out their 4th weight class
