      OK. i understand. thanks.
they didn't give out free tickets for Margo vs. Cotto.. sorry..
They had to give away tickets just to fill seats for the Baldo fight so I'm guessing it was much lower then 10k

Surely having the fight else where wouldnt effect the PPV sales. Or would it?
        Time zones, man.

If you got a 9pm fight start in london, that would be 3pm on saturday afternoon for the east Coast. Americans ain't buying that.

Ricky Hatton could put 50000 butts on seats scratching his arse!

More fights should be fought in citys that havent had big shows in years. **** even bring them over here they'd sell out i gaurentee it!
That is one thing I give you and your mates big time credit for across the pond. You guys wouls pack that one stadium to capaity of like 75,000 for a Hatton cottto or hatton oscar or hatton anybody fight.
I wasnt there live but I did see it in high def on a 50 plasma and it looked pretty packed to me but then again I never heard of the numbers so maybe it was some what empty

If you know that PPV sales pays you, then you become more of a TV salkesman. Which is why you see fighters go to onto FNF or ESPN with Brian Kenny. Or in PBF's case, you do 24/7. You try to appeal to a national TV audience.

              See what i mean?
Yeah, I do see what you're saying. But I do find it hard to accept that a fighter can influence a fan into deciding whether to watch live or on TV to such a degree.

eg. If Floyd came to England to fight Baldomir now, and tried this so called 'TV sales pitch', he could still sell 30K live tickets to us Brits.

I think it's more likely to do you with an earlier point you made about Yanks having the "Fight Party" tradition, and the Europeans preferring the real thing.

I also think we have a lot more fun than you lot at live events. You've seen us at the weigh-ins and in your arenas having such a riot and so much fun. Whereas you guys are a bit more reserved, and maybe don't let loose as much as us when attending live events.

              Get me?

Fact is that Mayweather can't sell out or sell period without DLH or Hatton, the only people he could do it against would be Margo and Cotto but as we have already seen, he is scared ****less of them. It's no wonder he is retired.

Your either a fan of one of the other. You can't possibly convince me that people would pay so MUCH...just to see a certain fighter get beat.
