Benn has a very akward style the best way to pin Benn down and hit him is to double the jab and follow up witht the right hand thats how Eubank put him away and how Mauro Galvano hurt him in their 2nd fight and McClellan only found him in the 9th round cause he stopped trying to knock his head off and started using the jab and he followed up and he had Benn going again in the 9th round Benn is a difficult target to hit when he bobs and weaves and comes out of rolls throwing hooks etc

Jones hardly ever uses the jab so i think he would find it hard to land cleanly on Benn what with Benn's akward low style id still make Jones favourite obviously but in Benn he would have faced a style that he has never faced before so allthough i have him winning it would be a hard nights work for him

Jones was the man pure and simple, H.B.O's golden boy, pound4pound number 1 covered in belts, you chase Roy Jones not the other way around and as much as i love Benn, Eubank and Collins they never did, would you?

Collins I seem to remember calling out Jones and travelling to America to call him out after one of his fights. What more could he do?

Benn wanted Jones but Jones chose an easier fight (at the time) against a green Hopkins.

Eubank said Jones wouldnt return his phonecalls.

So I dont know where you get this idea that they werent chasing him. What hoops do they have to jump through exactly??

I wasn't forgetting it at all bro. I'm just saying, When the P4P number 1 loses, he loses his spot to number 2 generally. So the Calzaghe fans would have a legit reason to say Joe was P4P 1..

WOW. You limey lot a bias as a ***ish extremist. Eubank and Benn wouldn’t be able to handle RJJ and that is common sense. Hopkins said RJJ was the hardest fighter he ever fought on his video I was watching. Roy Jones is like Ali while Eubank and Benn are Ruiz and Sanders respectively.

I agree with this. Benn at his best was a hard nights work for anyone, and posed a threat every moment he was in the ring.

                  Guled your an idiot

yes Jones would be the favourite but to dismiss Benn & Eubank is just ****** yes common opinion says Jones beat them both but styles make fights and IMO Benn could have given Jones plenty of trouble with his style

i dare say u would have had the same opinion about the outcome of Mike Tyson v Buster Douglas back in the day and we all know how that ended

Jones is a great fighter but he is greater because of he did not face rather than cause of who he did face

abadger stylistically id have given Benn more chance of beating the top guys more than i would Eubank because of his unconventional akward style and his punching power

Eubank has been outboxed by average fighters on occasion [Gary Stretch etc ]throughout his career and he had terrible stamina and loose technique and that is always capatilised on against top fighters Calzaghe made him pay how many times for it

Roy Jones embarrassed James “Lights Out” Toney with the craziest move in boxing history. Are Benn and Eubak good as James Toney? I shouldn’t have asked that question, you Calzaghe boys will gather up the most craziest reply and twist facts somehow an make Eubank and Benn look like they were better. Let’s not kid ourselves here. Neither Benn nor Eubank would last the distance with Roy Jones; I can’t believe some boxer fans would think they would have a chance to win, nah that’s just Calzaghe fans. Prime Roy Jones was one of the best boxer of all time and these guys are now RJJ class. Calzaghe fans are amazing, waiting for more crazy reply.
