Seriously, what do you even know about Benn and Eubank? They were amongst the best MW/ SMW of their era FFS! It is arguable that each of them fought more world class opposition in their careers than Jones, Toney and Hopkins did. The British guys at least fought each other twice, fought Steve Collins, Michael Watson. Eubank fought Calzaghe, Benn KOd Iran Barkley and McLellan, there are more names too that I'm sure Terrible will be able to tell you about better than I can.
Toney was probably a more complete boxer than either, and Jones certainly had more talent, but the only real reason to believe the Americans are on a genuinely higher plane is because you decided that based on seeing them on TV and not seeing the Brits. The bottom line is that these two sets of fighters never actually fought each other so its more or less impossible to say who were out and out the best. You can favour who you like, and I might even agree with you that Toney and Jones were a bit better, but to say that the difference is night and day is frankly laughable and I really don't think you'd find many real boxing fans who've seen plenty of all of them who would agree with you.

Willie Pep was one of the greatest, Sadler beat him by jumping all over him the way Benn would jump all over Roy. I don't think Benn would have won, But he had a style to give Roy problems at least...
