I doubt Benn could've gone 12 with Jones, he was kill or be killed, Benn would definitely go out on his 'shield' if he ever fought Roy.

You are forgetting Pacman moving up 2 weight classes against a bigger opponent. Calzaghe is fighting a past his prime fighter and not moving up any weight class.

Maybe. I think the most likely outcome of the fight would be a Jones decision as Jones respects Benn's threat and is content to outpoint him. I'm certain that Benn would have tried to KO Jones, but I doubt Roy would have engaged him unless absolutely neccessary.

I don't see any reason for Benn to be unable to stop Jones though, he was a hard hitter and if he were able to catch up with Jones I think he certainly could have. I take it you favour McLellan's faster hands to get the job done better than Benn's wilder style?
