Did Miguel Cotto quit??

Wrong, taking a knee TWICE means you quit. I understand taking a knee one time to buy time, I get that...but Cotto too TWO knees, looked to his corner as if to say "I'm done" and his corner quit with him.
I may be old school but a real warrior goes out on his back, gets KO'd out. I bet you Marg doesn't take a knee, he get's KO'd out.

He knew he was hurt, taking two knees buys him at least 16 seconds to recover and he doesn't look at his corner until his uncle steps onto the apron.

In Margarito-Cotto:
Bayless breaks the action in one corner.
Cotto backs up into the other corner and kneels before Margarito can land a shot.
Cotto gets to his feet, takes a few paces and looks to his corner for help.
The towel doesn't come in until Cotto looks to his corner in a world of confusion and hurt.
Then the corner step in and the fight is over.
It's cruel to see a guy who seemed invincible to so many go down like that.
But that's what happened.
Cotto quit to live and fight another day.
He knew he was only getting hurt worst.Comment

Did Ali quit against Holmes?
Corrales against Mayweather?
Frazier against Ali?Last edited by Silencers; 07-27-2008, 10:26 AM.Comment

I think he was waiting until his corner took the choice of whether to go continue out of his hands.
He had the look of a fighter who was waiting for it to be stopped, in my mind.
But I don't really care if he quit or not.
Miguel had a right to save himself from more beating.
Just so long as the bitchasses who tore Judah down get to eat they own faeces.Comment

What is shameful, is Floyd's ducking Margarito and Cotto, and then retiring to duck De La Hoya, after he saw DLH fight well against Forbes. Now that's a disgrace!Comment
