            Freitas telling the referee he didn't want to continue is quitting.

            Cotto was willing to fight on, so how could he quit? Not wanting to take anymore punishment doesn't mean he quit.

                      If the referee had asked Cotto "Do you want to continue?", Cotto would have said yes, even though he didn't want to take anymore punishment, he would have went on if he had to.
