Did Miguel Cotto quit??
Collapse

He went to his knees because he was trying to buy time and from what I know, Cotto was very emotional in his dressing room after the fight, doesn't sound like a quitter to me.
Anyways, that's it. I don't think I'll be able to convince you guys that he didn't quit.Comment

He didn't even nod at the ref that he wanted to go. He just stood there in shock, and couldn't believe what was happening to him. If he was able to continue why did he run to the corner and get on his knee not once but Twice. Then he got up with in a state of confusion and looked at his corner and walked straight at them. He didn't look like he care what had happened he wanted to leave the ring as fast as possible.
Zoo quit I thought actually, but there's room for interpretation in every fight.
I can't pretend to know what Cotto was thinking but he sure as hell looked disoriented to me.Comment

I kind of agree that Cotto would have fought on if his corner didnt step in but he wanted his corner TO step in, He looked to his corner to quit for him. He didnt even put his hands up when the referee was talking to him.
Quit is a strong word but he was looking to get out of there IMO.Comment

Are you bitter toward Cotto because you lost your bets, Flawless? Is that why you're trying to prove he quit?
You should try to be a better sport, and understand that Cotto gave it everything he had.Comment

Thats how i saw it as well.Comment

towards the end cotto was running away!!
the bum was even turning his back like a quitter!!! and he kept looking to his corner, meaning "PULL ME OUT"Comment

Flawless, you're a ****** for creating this thread.
Cotto fought bravely against a relentless opponent. He did his absolute best - he was hurt in an earlier round, but came back to win a round or two after that.
Cotto's corner threw in the towel because they saw his face was bloody and battered, and he was no longer able to defend himself.
Miguel Cotto is no quitter, and he has a lot more courage than the cowardly Floyd Mayweather, who would never, ever have the balls to fight Margarito.
...I didn't see the fight, but from what I was told by people who know "quitting", he "quit"...he may have had reason, but never-the-less he did quit...and once they "quit" in a tough one, it becomes "easier to quit" each time after...he still might be "competitive", as long as they really pick easy fights for him...what was that thing I've posted on here a time or 2, "a good big man will beat a good small man"...
