It's cruel to see a guy who seemed invincible to so many go down like that.

    But that's what happened.

Cotto quit to live and fight another day.

He knew he was only getting hurt worst.

He doesn't look over to his corner until his uncle/trainer is up on the apron.

      Watch his body language.

Watch the look to the corner.

      It say:

      "Get me out of here."

      Hard. But it's true.

Am I criticizing Cotto for quitting?

      Naw.

Just observing the double standard when it come to Zab, who showed all the heart in the Cotto fight that Cotto did in the Margarito fight.

People deal with reality. Cotto quit, running to the corner and the way he didn't even argue with the ref. He knew it was over. He quit, what a shameful way to end a great fight

It's Floyd Mayweather fans like yourself who are saying Cotto quit. You have no class and are poor sports, just like Floyd.

Why not be fair to Cotto, and give him credit for being the warrior he is? He didn't quit, he would have continued even though he was badly hurt. There's no quit in him - he's no coward like Floyd.

Cotto wanted to buy time to recover. Obviously he was in a lot of pain. He was using the clock to survive. But kneeling doesn't always mean quitting.

Taking a knee is a good way of buying time to try and clear his head and regain his senses, I don't think he would have survived the round but he was willing to fight thus he didn't give up or quit.
Wrong, taking a knee TWICE means you quit. I understand taking a knee one time to buy time, I get that...but Cotto too TWO knees, looked to his corner as if to say "I'm done" and his corner quit with him.

I may be old school but a real warrior goes out on his back, gets KO'd out. I bet you Marg doesn't take a knee, he get's KO'd out.

Body language doesn't mean he quit, quitting means he would have said no had the referee asked him to continue, he would have said yes.

And Judah did show a lot of heart to stand up to the beating he took.

No he didn't quit really. He was basically saying, OK, you've taken everything I could give, and your still coming at me to win, your the better man, you deserve it, take it. In no way did I see Cotto quitting when he went through hell in some earlier rounds prior to that. He could have quit then but he still had to test Margarito afew more rounds.

And you said you are not trying to discredit Cotto... Yet you write this.
