In a way he did. The second knockdown he backed into the corner with his hands down in submission. The fight was literally beat out of him. If you watch closely he winks at his corner when the fight is stopped. He winked almost in a look of agreement to stop it.

No, he got up both times before the referee's count was finished and before his corner walked onto the apron.

How do any of you know what Cotto had left in the tank, he may just have quitted because he knew he wasn't going to last any longer.
There have been guys who quit before. To me they would usually shake their head and try to walk away. He is only human, who are we to say he should keep fighting until he has brain injury?

Flawless, you're a ****** for creating this thread.

Cotto fought bravely against a relentless opponent. He did his absolute best - he was hurt in an earlier round, but came back to win a round or two after that.

Cotto's corner threw in the towel because they saw his face was bloody and battered, and he was no longer able to defend himself.

Miguel Cotto is no quitter, and he has a lot more courage than the cowardly Floyd Mayweather, who would never, ever have the balls to fight Margarito.

            YES.

The body language told it all.

But the fakeass moral consensus will patronize and protect Cotto.

If this poll was 1 year ago and the name was Judah.

The outcome of the poll would have been an exact opposite.

I am not hating on Cotto. Simple Question, when the fight was over I honsety thought Cotto quit. The way he had his hands down he looked broke and he had gave up and started walking towards the corner.

Judah did not quit, but like Cotto he did not want anymore punishment.

This board is obsessed with Mayweather. I made a thread about Hatton turned into Mayweather. I made a thread about Cotto someone has to mention Mayweather. This is about Cotto and a serious question, I thought he quit.

That is quitting, no longer wanting to fight means you have quit.
