Yes, he has a very credible resume. He was brought along very carefully at first, I remember back in 03/04 being a little dissatisfied by his choice of opposition (or rather TR's) but I dont know what other moves he could have made in the past couple years. Hatton never wanted any part of him at 140, Floyd certainly didn't either, Tszyu was on the way out, he fought mostly the best opponents available to him. At 147 he's beaten Judah and Mosley, okay neither natural 147lb'ers, but Mosleys enjoyed a bit of a resurgence in the past couple years, impressive performances vs Vargas and Collazo, a great style match, so it made sense and dollars. Judah was interesting too, former undisputed top at welter. Now he's got Tony, the toughest guy out there. I dont think you can fault Miguel much at all.

Then why would Floyd say that Cotto was too green.

Because he ****ing was, if floyd would have had a legit shot at fighting cotto he and bob arum could have easily came to an agreement, but top rank isnt ******, mayweather would have sparked cotto in about 5 or 6 rounds at 140. Cotto was too young, too inexperienced and was getting moved by the likes of malignaggi, corley, torres etc back then.

VIVA actually has a point, those fights were the ones where shane was churning out lackluster workman like performences. Only against Fernando Vargas was he actually looking halfway decent again, he also looked decent against collazo, but the problem is that Collazo unforunately is a pretty average fighter and Vargas was shot, however it doesnt take away from the fact that i enjoyed watching fernando get absolutely KTFO.

The first vargas/mosley fight was competitive though.

I agree, it's not a bad resume by any means but it's a very overrated one. Cotto says he only fights who his company puts in front of him therefore his company has carefully and strategically picked the opponents for him since he has no saying on any of these decisions according to him. Top Rank has done it's homework and have picked and crafted a perfect resume for Cotto.

If Cotto's resume doesn't impress you, then what does that say about Margarito's resume?

It's hard to judge a man's resume when he's been avoided for half of his career, educate yourself.

i would take 2 knockouts over cintron over a close win over mosley and you will see on august 2nd that the win over clottey is more impressive than a win over judah.
