are you impressed by cottos resume??

i think his accomplishments so far are very overrated. many of his wins at 140 were floyd mayweather leftovers and he has yet to beat big natural welterweight.

    his resume is good.

he's only had 5 fights at 147 and they were all good fighters except gomez and oktay is ok.

his 140 resume is good but nothing special. he didn't fight the best guys at 140 imo but he fought a lot of solid fighters at 140.

Cotto's taken on some tough comp and won em without any question, except the Mosley fight.

Im mexican and that resume is one of the best I've ever seen. Outboxing a still very solid 'Sugar' Shane Mosley is nothing short of impressive. It can also be said his 11th round TKO over Zab Judah was no easy task, as Judah was ready to go toe-to-toe and put one his bravest performance in years. Destroying the will of a great slick boxer in Carlos Quintana is up there with one of his greatest wins. He also managed to make Malignaggi, another slick boxer, look bad. That Ricardo Torres fight proved Cotto had a shacky chin, but most importantly that he had a heart. You might not like Puerto RIcans but you gotta admit that one hell of a resume.

You can't blame cotto for what was left over, he beat what was there and then some. As far as his welerweight record....his record and opposition over five fights is as good or beeter than any other fighter in the top 10. We'll see how he does against Margarito soon enough.

considering he is only in his 7th year of his career.. yes!
Margarito has been in the game since 1994 and still has yet to even come close to what Cotto has accomplished!

                    yes its impressive
but hes never faced a true welterweight warrior like margarito
mosley and judah were both semi warriors that rather box around despite having decent power
