    Double standard, much?

don't make cotto's resume seem greater than it is because of his 0.

for every good fighter miguel fought you can find one or two on antonio's as well.

and only 5 of that 32 wins was at 147 while marg spent 12-13 years at that weight.

      the 0 and the 5 losses won't mean **** on the 26th.

by the way out of miguels 5 opponents at 147 , how many started their careers there?
Does it matter what weight an opponent started in his career. Fighters move up in divisions cuz they can't make the weight or have a hard time trying ot make weight.

In 5 fights in WW, Cotto has beaten Quintana, Judah, Mosley, and Gomez. U say Margarito spent 12-13 years, his only good wins are Kermin Citron and Clottey.

A good boxer should always stand a high chance of beating a powerful brawler where there is approximate physical parity.

But in this fight, Margarito holds distinct physical advantages.

          • Greater power

          • Longer reach

          • Better chin

I'm not convinced Cotto's skills are great enough to make up the deficit and prevent him from being overwhelmed by Margarito's output. I'm not convinced he has timing/awareness precise enough under extreme pressure to exploit the windows of opportunity he will get to land body attacks of the necessary hurtfulness required to slow Margarito and discourage him.

Cotto has a tendency to momentary lapses in fights where he allows himself to be caught just enough to necessitate a slight regrouping period.
Getting caught in such a way in this fight will cost him.

I believe Cotto will be knocked out.

If Tony wins is definitely by way of KO. And this post basicly summarizes a way that it could happened. I respect your opinion. If this happens, I will be the first one to come out here and say; "Good call!!!"

That's definitely the way I see it.
                  Margarito by knockout-Cotto by decision.

One of the things that is so intriguing about this fight is that it is the biggest of both careers to date.
Not just in importance or publicity terms, but in terms of challenge.

                  • Though Williams was an arguably bigger challenge for Margarito in practical terms---which will be proven or disproven 10 days from now---you have to say that Cotto is Marg's greatest challenge so far based on accomplishments and established 2 weight world champion status.

                  • And though Cotto has already faced much better boxers and more complete fighters, he has never given up advantages to an opponent like the ones he is giving up to Margarito.

Who will be hungriest? Who will desire it most?
I give Margarito another slight edge there. It means more to him. This is his last shot at the big time. Cotto has more shots left.

I expect Tony Margarito to be like a man possessed on fight-night.

But if he doesn't show evidence of such an intense desire, it should be justified to say that his lack of regard for human life and the fighting fire within him was overestimated by his fans all along.

****ing incredible how much Cotto and Lujan look alike. Were these two separated at birth or some ****? that's crazy.
