I think rjj is losing his mind his age might be affecting him already...he could get seriously hurt by peter if caught by a clean punch...he will see nightmares after the fight...
Roy Jones Jr. vs. Joe Calzaghe is Set, Sam Peter Next?

but like I said if roy beats joe his real test would be if he took on Pavlik.... then if he got passed that, he should fight Tarver and Johnson. Then if he beats them, maybe move up but that's a lot of ifs.. he's old but its not like he's the oldest guy that ever fought, and like stated before them fighters aren't "spring chickens" either... if you got it then you got it and in september if roy beats joe than he's got it (back)... no need to retire... right?Comment

For all the people who place these posts believing joe will ko roy and even decision roy...thiink about it. Joe calzaghe is going to look like a slow fighter jones is going to counter punch him ll night and make joe think more than twice about pressing roy. jones will keep this fight at a distance and pick up the UD.Comment

its funny how people get on here and say roy cant and calzaghe is gone do this and that to him....yet everyone who believes that cant bring anything to the table supporting their theory. If anyone can give me two good reason besides stating opions on joe wins because jones is shot, then ill agree with you.Comment

damn dude, turn the lights off, lock the doors...close shop, cause you just killed it.... Jones speed will indeed make joe look slow and just ******ed. Reason I said joe will get laughed at, especially when he has him up agasint the ropes with Roy taunting him and making him slap happy to where Jones will counter with power and make him pay for his 1,000 SLAPS a round. Its simple logic. Roy is/was the BEST counter puncher that can/will hit you from all angles. Joe will move STRAIGHT at roy. Roy will let him slap 8 or 9 times in a row like he always does and jones will counter with 2 or 3 maybe more powerful shots every time. Joe has never been in the ring with someone as fast, that can move and counter like roy. But you can turn the table and say roy has never been in the ring with someone that slaps 1,000 punches (to steal) a round, and have great endurance. Jones will have to be prepared to go all 12 with Joe. If he can do that, he has this fight in the bag already.....For all the people who place these posts believing joe will ko roy and even decision roy...thiink about it. Joe calzaghe is going to look like a slow fighter jones is going to counter punch him ll night and make joe think more than twice about pressing roy. jones will keep this fight at a distance and pick up the UD.Comment

NO you have it the wrong way around. The fact that the originally unbeaten Hanshaw has been very badly beaten in his very next fight AFTER having been very badly beaten by Roy Jones, shows that Jones' beating did something to him, and made him an easy opponent for his next fight. Maybe for a few more too??.Well Peter could trip and fall coming out from his corner in the first round, land on his face and knock himself out, or severely daze himself and Roy could finish him off. But seeing as how Roy was unable to finish Hanshaw or Trinidad when he had them both badly hurt, I'm not so sure. It doesn't help that Hanshaw was just badly beaten and stopped by Dirrell (tarnishing Roy's decision over an unbeaten Hanshaw somewhat.)Comment

Whadda ya mean "ask Klitschko"?? When everyone was regarding Peter as an unstoppable KO Killer (Mainly due to the PR of his management and the almost dead bodies he was knocking over) Klitschko JUMPED at the opportunity to fight him. Peter knocked Klitschko down 3 times. the 1st was the culmination of a series of rabbit punches, which "BLIND RANDY NEUMANN" should have already DQ'd Peter for, and which the analysts properly pointed out.I love rjj.... but fightin peter would not be a wise decision. peter is the next greatest heavyweight and he packs one hell of a punch ask toney and klitschko. plus he is fast. jones would be setting his self up for a fall. after he beats calzaghe go after tarver for his finale
The 2nd was a shoulder grab and push to the canvas, with no blow struck, which the analysts properly pointed out.
The 3rd was the finale of a "bums rush" of Peter across the ring, making Klitscko retreat very fast, overbalancing and falling to the ropes where he bounced to the canvas, from which he got up right away, unharmed. Peter's swinging punches just fanned the air, and perhaps the last one may have been the merest graze, if anything at all. Peter hit Klitschko with several legit hard right hands during the fight, without bothering him at all, so maybe he doesn't punch nearly as hard as his "set-ups" indicated. Klitschko taught a clumsy beginner all about the art of boxing that night, and won every round on the judges cards except the ones in which BLIND RANDY gave KD's.Comment

roy is the thing of the past. if he cannot inflict serious damaged on felix trinidad who was more stationery and very sloppy, how can he inflict damaged to a more agressive and dynamic puncher in joe calzaghe?
what is left with roy is his wild imagination that he can still deliver the same punches a decade ago.
calzaghe will made fun out of roy.Comment

Jo Ka could not even hit B-Hop square, all that pitty patty stuff will not work with RJJ, plus he got floured by B-Hop in what was a basic punch...
Roy will dance around this *** all night and pot shot him until his face looks like his ass...
Honestly i think RJJ will make this guy look even older then he looked against B-Hop
