I agree, in fact I think that in his recent wins over Hanshaw and Trinidad he has actually looked worse than he did in his Tarver and Johnson bouts. To me he looks weak and frail, with no stamina. He still has excellent handspeed but only occasionally, most of his punches are just 'normal'. I fear he isn't going to be able to live with Calzaghe at all.

This will be a great fight- regardless how you feel about either fighter. Style wise its a cream dream- old Roy is still fast and skilled.
Faster than Roy? You lost credibility on that. Workrate is the only thing Calzaghe has on Roy. Leave it at that. Jones' power , speed and counter ability will offset Joe's workrate. Don't believe me? Hopkins did it. Watch and see Jones take it to another level.

That being said, Calzaghe wins in an easy UD after the world realizes that Jones is barely capable of throwing more than 2 punches at a time.
Trust me, Jones can and will throw more than (2) punches at a time with someone who punches like Calzaghe. He does'nt have to worry about the counter KO firepower and will let his hand go. That said, I gaurantee no matter what happens. Joe will not win easy. I pick Jones to win and pretty easy acually. Maybe by KO.

I'm bookmarking this thread to laugh at you all when Calzaghe wins the fight comfortably.

You have alot of money/points riding on this one huh? Man, I gaurantee Joe will do nothing to intimidate Jones for him to not "be able to live with Calzaghe at all". Jones looks far from Frail or weak. Who have you been lookin at? Jones on his worst day appears more ripped and muscled than Calzaghe has ever looked in his life. Especially on LHW fight day. Joe looked a little messy when he fought B-hop on fight day. I think he is better suited for SMW and Jones will make that apparent on the 20th of Sept. If I had more points, I would bet you too.

Okay, please do. But , pull it back up and mention it no matter what the outcome. Agreed? That would be fun.

Yes. I will probably kill myself if Joe loses to be honest. I agree that Calzaghe is better suited to SMW, but strength isn't just about how you look. Calzaghe was stronger than Lacy and look at the difference there!

When I say Roy looked frail and weak I mean that he looked as though he could be pushed around a bit, no matter how good shape he is in. His balance doesn't seem the best to me either.

I can relate to that, but I believe that Jones is only pushed around as much as he allows his oponents to do so. When he decides to get agressive or stiffen up, you know what happens. See the last 3 fight for proof of that. All 3 fighters were bigger than Joe is.

RJJ only allows fighters with strength and power get him against the ropes so he can counter pounch and back them off. this fight will remain in the middle of the ring as the trinidad fight was mostly. and just like that fight jones will beat joe to the punch. joe is not aggressive. and whoever said joe was stronger than lacy...your ****in ******. joe was just the better fighter. strength had nothin to do with that.
