also I would love to see roy in there with Pavlik when and if he beats Joe. That would be his TRUE test when it comes to his chin. If he survives both Joe and Pavlik.... look out Tarver and Johnson... I believe that could happen too. I think there will be a lot of money involved in a Pavlik Jones fight if Jones beats Joe. I think fans will want to see it so I think it would make a lot of money and Jones would stay in that division and maybe take on Tarver and johnson but that's A hell of a lot of IFs....

Ok, lets get 1 thing out of the way…..if rjj was to move up and defeat peter, that would be HUGE, especially if peter was to defeat klithcko. But to make the case of GOAT, im just saying it makes fir a better argument to defeat the towo guys that defeated you. Say what you want, but tarver beat him, TWICE. And even the fighr rjj won, A LOT of ppl thought tarver really won that one too, which was the reason for the rematch in the first place. I just think it would be priceless to be able to say, ROY JONES JR. : one of the few men to beat every man he has ever fought. Becoming HW champion again adds to his legacy, but not in a way that would put him at the top of every1’s p4p list, cause you’re still gonna have that “yea but, he couldn’t beat tarver, and he was ko’ed by glen Johnson.” Closing out his career beating those two guys, takes away all the “yea buts,” and THEN roy has a better case for being consider THE GOAT. He’s already an all-time great now, but that’s different than being THE GOAT.Comment

Anyway I think Calzaghe will win a UD. I actually think this is a tougher fight than Pavlik though. Pavlik is tailor made for Calzaghe's style. Whereas Roy, even at this age, has far more skill and speed than Pavlik. I think Joe wins but Roy gives a decent account of himself.Comment

dude I was agreeing with ya, I don't want or think he should go anywhere but BEAT JOE, then maybe even fight PAVLIK and if he's successful fight Tarver an johnson too... I'm on the same page bro... if he beats them there's no yeah buts. I was just stating that I can see Jones logic of why he wants to do that. I don't think he will. I see him beating Joe and staying in that division because he then will receive big offers.... PAVLIK, TARVER, JOHNSON.... If he pulls that off.... GOAT! If he then moves up and beats PETER.... man, that's GOAT with HONORS MAN..... but again that's a lot of IF's.Comment

Your point??? To take one of hopkins’s euphemisms: its not as if joe, tarver, or glen Johnson for that matter are “spring chickens!”
Personally, I see no reason why rjj can’t have 3 0r 4 more fights. Especially if he’s fighting guys just as old as he is.Comment
