Floyd hasn't defended his welterweight title legitametly since Judah and has only fought two top 10 ranked fighters in the division since his move up.

What's more respectable.. a guy who may be limited but is willing to fight whoever whenever regardless of the money involved or someone who has the potential to be a top 20 all time great but choses to pick and chose his opposition and only fight for paydays.

I know Manny isn't better then Mayweather but he deserves that P4P title more and because this is what people say people start throwing around racism.
Pas is so-called pfp the best by default. Floyd retired. Pac is third on my list. You describing hatton and his last fight, and then seeing people wanting to see PAc fight hatton is comical. I agree with a part of your post, but there are people who say a win over hatton would do wonders for Pac. Hattons biggest win was over an old kostya at that. Hatton had his chance to be big, and he was ko'd. It was still a good win for floyd, that's all. You saw the difference between a ranked pfp champ, and a top 10 pfp guy at 140.

Please. There is no such thing as deserving of pfp best. Pac made his bones fighting h.o.f fighters who had many wars. His time has come, and Valero will take him off of this phony pedestal he has been living on.

Mayweather jumped into the position by default as well.. he didn't "earn it"

I don't know if any of you have read the "Thomas Hauser" article on HBO but it speaks about what goes on there and how they overbid for fights and a lot of other things. Apparently heads were rolling after that article got published.

The problem with HBO IMO is this. They're commentators including the boxers at times are incredibly biased. Roy Jones Jr who was the least non biased demonstrated his level of bias I recall during the Spinks vs. Judah matchup. He was ignoring completely how Spinks was building a clear cut lead against Zab.

But back to HBO, they tend to be very biased towards typical "slugger" types and guys who have that "home grown" story.

In addition they totally manufacture arguments for the house fighter. Example, During DLH vs. Floyd, when DLH was totally missing with ineffective body shots Lampley (namely him) was saying how "judges aren't always good at seeing if a punch lands or not". WTF??

I recall also while Trinidad was getting his ass handed to him how Foreman was remarking that "Trinidad is on the ball, on the ball". "What do you mean George?" "He's on the ball and just waiting to land that left hook, bernard better lookout". Meantime what was actually happening was Hopkins was stepping to his right nullifying the left hook and countering Tito.

I can think of plenty more. If the comments by Floyd and Winky get things to change there then imo it was well worth it..

Can anybody else see the hypocrisy in this post? Hatton was "a good win for Floyd". But Pac moving up and "people wanting to see Pac fight Hatton is comical". This clown is the worst!

I think Joan Guzman will be the guy to beat Manny. But I agree.. Morales was def. old. Though I feel Manny lost to Marquez there is no excuses though. Marquez had not been in as many wars and should not have let himself be knocked down so you can't take much away from that one.

Floyd fails to realize that it's not his skin color that turns people against him but the way he acts. The "me me me" M.O. is ****ing annoying. I like watching him fight but he acts like a ****ing tool.
