There is no such thing as a better representative. But, if I had to pick one, lol...Floyd. He does everything better than Pac, and hasn't lost a fight by ko twice or made his bones fighting guys who weren't used up. Floyd and Dlh participated in the biggest fight ever in boxing. Floyd is accused of ducking Margs and cotto, yet Pac gets a pass for leaving 130 without fighting Valero or Guzman.
Better Representative of the #1 P4P Status, Pacquiao or Mayweather?

They have both deserved their P4P#1 status. Personally I always prefer the aggressive fighter over the tactical defensive style, any day.Comment

Uncle Tom? Ok...
Not everyone is as quick to denounce as you, Uncle Tom.
Ever think that maybe some of us suspect he will come back and topple a big welterweight name?
Show some restraint on your emotions. It saves you from looking ****** down the stretch.
Serious question: What does that even mean?
Why is he obliged to continue pandering to the demands of people who keep changing the rules and demanding more?
There will always be another guy who Floyd has to beat. Always.
Do you think "the sport" has been representing the fighters well for decades?
I'm a fan of fighters, not the boxing establishment.
Floyd Jr. has earned his breathing space. If he decides he wants to come back and beat Cotto, all the better.
So now it's a political statement on Floyd's part? He's retiring to protest the wrongdoing of a sport which has misrepresented him.. LOL. That's a new one.
And how would he be 'continuing' to please the boxing community by fullfilling their demands? He never did that in the first place. Mayweather never really went for the fights that the people wanted to see. Sorry...Comment

Flod Mayweather is the better representative. He defines P4P. When you talk about him you know you're talking p4p.
Guys like Pacquiao, Mosley or Hopkins - who were p4p #1 for a while don't let you know they're p4p. They're good fighters but they don't represent their status as the RJJ's and Mayweather's of the world.Comment

I said that?
**** off and kiss some more ass.
I'm contesting this fallacy that a fighter has to 'represent the best interests of boxing', when the best interests of boxing have always been synonomous with fighters lacking control of they own careers.
Like I said, Floyd earned his breathing space.
And everybody was holding they breath for Pac-Diaz?
People wanted Mayweather-Corrales. People wanted Mayweather-Castillo. People wanted Mayweather-Judah.
People want Mayweather-Cotto. And they may yet get it.Comment

Real talk: Why are you being so hostile to me? 'Kiss some more ass'.. and 'Uncle Tom' are things that would imply that we have some sort of history. But I don't even think I've talked to you before. I mean, it's whatever. But this seems like you're throwing a tantrum for no reason.

And you're listing off fights that happened when Floyd still had some credibility as a fighter who took fights that the people wanted. Funny how most of those happened at least a couple of years ago, right? But like you said: the best fighter in the world should be allowed to fight less than stellar competition. He should be allowed to go after the money and hurt the sport's image.. because it benefits him. Haha.. **** outta here.Comment
