cue the idiot who will post that I'm obsessed with even though this would be my second thread related to him in months. some kids are just to sensitive
2501 this is uncharacteristic of you to create a biased poll, haha. Seriously though, Manny Pacquiao gets my vote. I'm definitely not basing it off boxing ability because my opinion is he has none really and it's his violent speed and power that overwhelm's opponents that wins him fights solely. With that said, Manny Pacquiao has taken on the best fighters more often than Mayweather with little to no hesitation, has achieved about as many merits as Mayweather, and overall is a better face for boxing. Which personality does our sport the most justice? A guy who throws money at the camera, is egotistical, self righteous and ****y, or a guy who is generous, ambitious, humble, grateful for what he has and respectful of his opponents and his position in not only boxing but of his country to. We need villians in boxing to help beef fights now doubt but a guy like Manny Pacquiao represents all things good as far as I'm concerned and that type of person will always be sought out and favored.

Serious question: Do you think Floyd Mayweather represented the sport better than Manny Pacquiao?
well put man, continuing to be a fan of PBF at this moment tells a lot about the person...

Mayweather didn't do this throughout his entire career but we really saw it at the end of his career. Pacquiao has taken some really hard fights in the past couple of years.

Pacquiao is also much more likable. How can you not like the guy?

Can't say the same for Mayweather.
Ask Htowntexan about Mayweather and how nice he treated him.

Most people that meet Floyd like him..he made a friend of Mark Cuban and others on dancing with the stars...even the WWC guys liked him.

I believe Mayweather probably is a good guy when the camera's are off but for one, I haven't seen it personally and more importantly, most people will not be able to see that side of Mayweather. They only see what he lets them see on camera so as a representative of boxing, it makes boxers and the sport of boxing look really ****ty, plain and simple.

If i have been a fan of Floyd since Genaro Hernadez why would I just stop being a fan of his, I think that would say more about a person than continuing to be his fan even after he has retired.

The best repersentative, is the best boxer in the world and that's P4P Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr. Yes Manny has moved up and won some big fights titles and money, but he's also lost a few fights titles and money. PBF on the other hand has conquered all made more money in his last two fights then Manny in his career, and even on the brink of his retirement future fights, upcoming events and guest apperences are inevitable, and drive the average fan wild when thinking of Floyd. You dont get that wit Pac **** i just wanna know when he fights next!

Floyd is the baddest lil motha****er on the planet and makes **** happen.. Pac is just another fighter from another country who can fight!

Not everyone is as quick to denounce as you, Uncle Tom.

Ever think that maybe some of us suspect he will come back and topple a big welterweight name?

Show some restraint on your emotions. It saves you from looking ****** down the stretch.

Serious question: What does that even mean?

Why is he obliged to continue pandering to the demands of people who keep changing the rules and demanding more?
There will always be another guy who Floyd has to beat. Always.

Do you think "the sport" has been representing the fighters well for decades?
I'm a fan of fighters, not the boxing establishment.

Floyd Jr. has earned his breathing space. If he decides he wants to come back and beat Cotto, all the better.

Depends on how you look at it, p4p #1 is usually a guy who is looking absolutely untouchable or is so good to the point that it looks like he simply cant be stopped or touched. Ray Robinson was a ****ing *******, but he had all of those traits im talking about it. Chavez had that aura in many ways also, Roy Jones and Hopkins also had this.

If you are looking at it from a personality standpoint, then pacman wins hands down, so for me, pacman just needs to clean out his division, REALLY clean it out or take on some more credible champs, and hell be viewed even higher in my book. But right now, hes number 1, and you have to respect what hes done and earned.
